Which Way to Go?

Hey, I'm wondering.. With all these re-releases of movies that I want to own in the first place coming up, should I get the regular edition and then when the special ed. comes in, replace it,

or just wait for the special edition?

It's been annoying (all these re-releases)

Honestly I get every different version of my favorites, but hold out for the final versions on other films. Take The Mummy for example. I have two different versions now and a 3rd Ultimate Edition is coming out in 3 weeks. But with Almost Famous I'm waiting because a Special Edition is coming out in 5-7 months.
