I am three episodes in on this new CBS sitcom featuring Jay R Ferguson (last seen as the dad on The Real O'Neals) as a man shaken by the sudden death of his best friend and the news that his wife is pregnant and has decided to live his life 100% according to the Bible. When I first saw a commercial for this show, I thought it was going to be pretty stupid, but this show is surprisingly fresh and funny. Ferguson is an absolute charmer as Chip who has a nice metrosexual quality that I find quite appealing. Chip likes to listen to Demi Lovato while he's in the shower and watches all of the Real Housewives on television. Lindsey Kraft is crisp and amusing as Chip's wife and Camryn Manheim, Tony Rock, and Sara Gilbert are fun as Chip's co-workers. Ian Gomez and David Krumholz are also very funny as a priest and a rabbi who have been tapped by Chip to mentor him through his new lifestyle. This one is off to a strong start I hope the momentum continues.
