View Full Version : MoFo Foods Countdown?
Raul was gonna run a drinks countdown but it didn't happen, let's do this which is probably easier. Just send me your top ten favourite foods off the top of your head, let's get this going quickly as i'll probably lose interest if it takes like a month to get going same as Raul.
It'll be the same as the other three Countdowns i ran. They are just quick forgotten one night stands of fun, there's not much point (particularly with food which you'll never be happy with) mulling over a perfect list just go for ten that comes to mind. I'm not going to make any rules each member can decide whether they want to include foods or dishes or whatever. I may group certain things together for instance: if you include a specific cut of steak like say Ribeye i may just include that into an overall Steak vote, depends how everything works out i wouldn't want RIbeye at 20 and Steak at 19 for example.
Also Disclaimer to Yoda: please don't move this to intermission i'd like for it to get extra attention from Now Playing. The Top MoFo Countdowns and Mofies are in this section and this could be a fun thing for the whole site so hopefully you'll allow it to stay here.
If we get 50 with 10 Points and 2 Votes i'll do the Countdown!

For the record, i wouldn't tell anybody or expect him to talk to me further if Sexy Celebrity sent me a list and/or considered joining in during the Countdown :shrug:
Should point out that while i said there's no rules interpret it as you want, listing a whole countries culinary input as one entry was implied by... The Geneva Convention as a no go. You know who you are i hope you've learned your lesson!

Just added the first nine lists, Vamp just sent one going to add that shortly. So far 10 foods have made it :cool:
As i said i'm grouping certain foods together to simplify things so your vote may not turn up on the countdown exactly how you sent it, if i've done that i have most likely told you in a PM. Also it's not consistent at all i've grouped some foods together and some i haven't, i'm just going by the votes to make it as simple as possible. It's definitely really weird and confusing. Keep the lists coming, hopefully this will take no longer than a week.
If you are voting for Soup or Sandwiches please specify which kind. That's one i'm not going to group together, mostly coz i voted for a specific soup :D

I totally recognize Spam as a bad food but i still think it tastes good. It's really big in Korean Cuisine and by extension Hawiian.
There's also something similar called Bacon Grill. It's the same sort of processed overly salty garbage except it's supposed to be imitation bacon, it doesn't taste like bacon but you can tell what they were going for. Haven't had it in about a decade but i know i would still like it despite telling myself i shouldn't. The thing that completely ended it for me was when i looked at the ingredients and saw all sorts of gross stuff, even though it's imitation bacon (Pork Bacon not Turkey or Chicken before people point out that exists) it is more Chicken than Pork :sick:

I bought one can of it a few months ago because a coworker used to eat them for lunch quite frequently and I thought I'd give it a try. Took one bite and threw the rest in the trash.

Yep have had Bologna. Not really a fan. Always saw it as something American Kids loved...Bolgna Sandwiches on shows and movies, was disappointed when i first tried it to say the least. Still it's not terrible or anything.
Have had bad Hot Dogs, there's nothing worse and it's not even as if your average one is high quality in any way.

Mechanically recovered Chicken is somehow way worse than Mechanically Separated Chicken :rotfl:

I actually love good hot dogs. But the ones I buy are big, have nice flavor and cost like $8 or $9 a package.

I buy 100% beef hot dogs.. I do not do any type of luncheon meat.. and I rarely eat a Black Forest Ham sandwich.. and that is the only thing I eat of those "lunch meats"

Yep, my mum and sister and ex love it so i've had it a lot at the various stages of my life. It's good but i've not got the taste for it that most Americans do so i only have it in small doses. Have never had a PB&J, not sure why i've had both Peanut Butter and Jelly (Jam) at the same time loads.

I only do peanut butter on bread.. I dont like any jellies, jams or preserves..
I guess I did before I was 4... but yeah once we moved and I had a different babysitter while my parents worked.. I never ate it again..
from the time I was born to 4 years old.. that babysitter got her groceries at the Army Base Commissary and to me .. that wasn't the same jelly after we changed babysitters.

The first one of those i ever encountered was on that old flash game site Miniclip if anyone remembers it. Was a game where you cleaned a room and i was like what the hell is this...then Pazazu/Regan jumped out.

Never heard of it but I looked it up and it's real. Based in a beautiful part of the eastern seaboard way north of Sydney. I have a sister living up that way and she's coming to visit soon so if I can remember the name I'll ask. Just seems to be a small goods company that's family owned. I doubt very much they have anything like the delights of turkey roll with a dinosaur and spam lamb.

I've never seen the video, just searched for images of the canned chicken. I've seen the cans at the store and had a morbid curiosity about what the contents actually looked like. Finding that image last night was the first time that curiosity was satisfied and I nearly gagged.

Was wanting this to be something people sent lists to me for without caring and knowing i wouldn't reveal their list if they didn't want me to, but it was something nobody cared about which is why i suggested letting it die.
I personally asked people for lists in the last three Countdowns i ran but i have no intention of doing that here so obviously it's going to/should die.
