I still haven't caught up with last season's episodes. Do you know if this season is a continuation from last season, or can I skip last season and watch it later?

Without spoiling too much, you can watch this season without really watching the mythology episodes from last season, because true to Chris Carter's mindset, last season didn't matter. I would still catch up on it, they had some really good Monster of the Week episodes.

Apologies for the delay, the internet was out at work yesterday, and that's where I do the majority of my Mofoing:
HOLY ****! Is Bill Clinton President? Because that was the best The X-Files mythology episode since the mid season 6 climax.
The Good:
-The revelation that the Cigarette Smoking Man (CSM) impregnated Scully "with science" on the Season 7, Episode 15 of En Ami. This totally changes the episode.
-This was a CSM heavy episode - Scully, and especially Mulder, seemed to be put on the sidelines this episode.
-I'm not sure if I'm on board with a new, new Syndicate that wants Mulder to take out the CSM, but it beats the Super Soldier ****.
-MVP of the Episode: Chris Owens back as (Ex) Agent Spender. I always liked Owens, but scoffed at his return, because his face is basically back to normal since his deformities of Season 9. Upon a closer look at him, he seemed to have scars all over his face that looks like he just got a Face/Off type transplant or something. I'm sure he'll turn up in the season finale.
The Bad:
-The editing. Holy crap, this was shot like a bad action movie. Sometimes it was hard to keep up.
-The voice over monologues - The CSM wasn't too bad, but I felt myself waiting for Mulder's to end.
- Agent Eisenstein and Agent Miller - Why are they still on this show? Carter had a chance to just write them out or simply get rid of them, but they're still hanging around.
Overall, I'm very happy with this episode. Season 10's mythology episodes were terrible, some of the worst of the show, and I think we needed this to get back on track. I'm excited for what's to come this season, especially if it's all over after this.
