Amazing – I knew it was close to two years but it's come along rapid.

Nice choice of images mark f. Also I'm impressed that although Le Bossu's slipped out of my top 10 you've remembered it. It is a great film.

And the Venice scenes in Münchhausen are beautiful.

Oh I love these :p.

I always think back to seeing Munchausen in the cinema – it felt colossal, especially with the music.

This scene really stands out as well because it starts as a somewhat cobbled-together theatre production and when it goes into this flashback there's a brilliant moment of transition where everything that was merely represented in the stage set becomes real. I'd struggle to think of a similar moment in a film but you could liken it to The Wizard of Oz suddenly going from monochrome to colour.
