Actually, in the cartoon series, The Adventures of Tintin (soon to be a new film series courtesy of Spielberg's Dreamworks studios), there's a hilarious villainous character named Roberto Rastapopoulos who bears a striking resemblance to the proboscis monkey--a resemblance that the cartoonist, Herge, himself remarks upon in one of his graphic albums.

It will be great, the mofo monkey will add that missing spice we need. Soon we will buy lots and lots of mofo monkeys and they can do all the jobs needed like catching pigeons and so forth. We better be careful though or they will take over and mofo monkeys will rule. That's where the planet of the apes came from, you know.
