I love seeing how people put themselves together. Or not, as the case may be.
Feel free to post your own photos of men or women. All comments welcome.

Catherine Zeta Jones looking exceptionally attractive. She’s 48 & looks very good. Leather pants are not an easy look to pull off, but she looks terrific. No way would I have chosen white sneaks with this, but a lot of the very young models currently do this so perhaps they were her inspiration. Love her Hermés bag too.
Finally! Now Mofo is going to see my intelligence shine. Wait till I start posting pics of hoodies and baseball jerseys. It's going to be hot.

Are they black? Colored ones can be icky. Heels are good too, but that makes it a different kind of outfit.

I’m full of advice any time you need it. Not to boast (which I am doing), but I have very good taste. So many women dress so very badly, I often wonder if they ever look in a mirror. What I see a lot of is women buying clothes that are too small for them. The overstuffed suitcase look is very unattractive.

Yes black hipster leather trousers, worn with black strappy heels, i look very grown up unlike my avatar 😊

Kendall Jenner, IMO, has a lovely figure. Which I hope she manages to keep. Small-bosomed, small waist, long legs & a flat stomach. She looks terrific in jeans. Beautiful face too. Notice her white sneaks in the last photo, which I would never have worn with that cute dress.

Yeah, way too tight for my taste. I don't mind tight if you accent it well. Like the first outfit you posted in the thread. .

My boyfriend is no help when I want an opinion on what I'm wearing. He would think I look good in a bin liner. But sometimes, a girl HAS to have an opinion! I really have to break out of my jeans-and-tshirt mode.

cat_sidhe, got inspired yesterday at Sunday Mass by what the women were wearing. What you need is a wrap dress. Hugely versatile. Big-bosomed, small-bosomed, fat, thin, small, tall, old, young, any woman can look good in a wrap dress. Prints or solids. Can be worn in any season with any kind of footwear - UGGS, short boots, high boots, flats, wedges, heels, espadrilles. Can be plain during the working day & dressed up for the evening. Great bare-legged or worn with tights or hose. Can be worn with a little cardigan if it gets chilly.

I just have to acquire myself some patience with clothes shopping. And a friend to veto, since I can't really judge what I look like in them, and sometimes cone home with something then a month later when I want to wear it, wonder WTF POSSESED ME TO BUY THAT?

Dannii, just ran in quickly here since I had no time on Monday to give you ideas like I wanted to for your exam. I love all the following stylish yet comfortable looks. Sounds like you have an extensive wardrobe & could find many of these items in your own closets. We must talk about shoes sometime. I LOVE shoes!
I like the patterned pantsuit least of all, but I like the way the model looks in it. The kitten heels also look very good with it. Interesting outfit even though I would not have worn it.

This is a fun thread. I'm partial to tan slimjeans, but I think I ll get a pair of white ones for summer. I wonder if you 're familiar with either the old (old)Dick Van Dyke or the (not quite as old) Mary Tyler Moore shows. I always got a kick out of seeing Mary's outfits . They have the DIck Van Dyke reruns playing here these days, and it seems to me some of her outfits - cropped slim pants and sporty yet sexy sweaters- are every bit as stylish today.
Oh I also like how the 'rich' gal (forgot her name) on Two Broke Girls dressed.(lots of tan slacks lol)

Kate wears those shoes a lot. Not sure why. There are so many fabulous shoes out there, but I don’t think she is really into shoes. Also, she has never carried a bag before (except 1 or 2 tiny clutches), but I’ve seen this Chanel bag more than once now. A bag gets in the way when you need to “press the flesh” and the Royals rarely use a shoulder bag. And never a cross-body bag.

Stirchley
02-14-18, 09:20 PM
There’s nothing wrong with them, per se. She just does not have the best taste in shoes. She is rather old-fashioned & staid in terms of footwear. Look back at some of the shoes I have posted here. I have never seen her in Chanel, Tod’s, Gucci, Ferragamo, etc., etc. I am kind of a footwear fanatic & think that if you have the wealth it’s a shame not to buy the very best, which is usually Italian.
They look like Bally to me. I have a pair just like it.
Royals can never win. People crucify them if they spend money on designer shoes while millions of people are starving around the world or dont spend money on designer shoes when they have enough money to buy a country in Africa and could jolly well make the effort to match their handbag and their gaudy earrings that hundreds of animals died just so they could look schmick while buying a coffee and a donut. Maybe these newbie commoners onthe scene can frolick in bare feet and be done with it all. Might be a bit cold at the moment, though. My bro is currently working there and god almighty he can whinge when his toes are cold.

I like that blue (fleece?) coat, thanks for showing that-most people I see are wearing 'pack' coats but I' m partial to fleece. Anyway I enjoy seeing these styles - whether or not there are imperfections in satorial splendor I leave for others wiser than I to say. With shoes, as long as we don't regress to the "Working Girl" days of pairing a fancy outfit with Nike sneakers, I m okay.
The royals are always bait for tabloids, but this current bunch- Diana's 'kids' and kin -seem quite likable to me.

So do I. They seem quite normal in comparison to the rest of the family. Do you watch The Crown, Lady? I never liked The Establishment until seeing the show. Jolly good show it is! Someone on the net in a galaxy far far away was talking about how lovely and normal Margaret was. I said Darling, you're a carton of Chesterfields and a crate of Tanqueray beneath her contempt.
As for my brother's fashion disaster, I'm waiting for him to return home and act out that little charade. In a completely sodden state and ice block cold he spotted an ad for a most becoming pair of lined, gortex boots and rang all over London trying to track them down because in his usual style he needed them yesterday. There was one pair left and sitting forlornly in a mouldy cupboard in Westfield 2 hours drive across London. In a vile mission from god amidst soccer mum traffic he drove all the way only to find that the awkward excuse for a salesman he had spoken to on the telephone had found the correctly labelled box but had made the dangerous mistake of not looking inside. One look at my brother's face had Mr Awkward who was standing in a corner picking one of his crusty pimples suddenly scuttle away as fast has his chicken legs could carry him, never to return. The look on his face indicated he was a ne'er do well crushed individual.
Bally. You've never heard of Bally? Shame on you! It's a Swiss brand of shoe for the discerning and uber conservative Sloanes of Sloane Square who will pay through the nose for a piece of leather, dontchoo know.

Ok I looked up those Bally shoes and I m sorry to say it, but I m quite unimpressed. $. 650.00 for a pair of loafers! which look like they'd be better suited to one of the nuns in Sound of Music than any fashionista. Well maybe I m being cheap about shoes, but I d never have given Carrie Bradshaw, or for that matter, Imelda Marcos, a run for their money.
Huma looks nice. Will she be wearing something like this when she visits hubby in prison, pray tell? ( pardon my sarcasm; we're still stuck in the middle of February and I m starting to get really really......cranky.)

I know, right! I accidentally stumbled into Queen Oprah's shoe closet recently. Seriously, it's not for me to tell her where to spend her money obviously, but I'm pretty sure there are better ways to fritter away all that green. And this is a genuine question because I really dont know, does she have to go up a shoe size with every dress size? Maybe that's why she needs a yurt to store them while they house moths. If she really needs so many clogs, surely she can keep her vulgarity to herself.
I'm sorry not sorry to share the trauma. I used to be obsessed with shoes but I grew up when I donated my Hefner harem of barbie dolls to kids who dont get xmas presents, and now I feel bad because they all had too many shoes as well. My parents should have had more cents.

I don’t begrudge any woman spending her money as she pleases. She earned it, it’s hers. Surely that’s a woman’s right without being considered vulgar?
