"Tom Wlaschiha (Game Of Thrones), Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), James D’Arcy (Agent Carter) and Thierry Frémont (Juste Un Regard) have joined the cast of the upcoming Das Boot remake.

Principal photography is now underway on the new series adaptation of the classic German submarine drama, and locations will include Prague, La Rochelle, Malta and Munich.

Bavaria Fernsehproduktion, Sky Deutschland and Sonar Entertainment are producing the show. Previously announced cast include Lizzy Caplan, August Wittgenstein and Rainer Bock.

Andreas Prochaska is directing the eight-episode series, which has a budget of $31.5m.

It will premiere at the end of 2018 in Sky territories Germany, Austria, Italy, UK and Ireland. Sonar Entertainment is handling international rights."

Pete (Vincent Kartheiser) is pretty much exactly what Non-Germans playing Germans in British and American films always look like:

Yeah, just watch the super long version of the film from the 80's. It's great and stuff.

The 80's version is fantastic. I hate remakes.
