I don't necessarily mean this second, but that is an acceptable, albeit unwanted, answer. I'd prefer a show with a continuing narrative, like American Horror Story, and not a show with independent stories, like Family Guy, Black Mirror, and sketch comedy shows.
For me, I'm currently watching Record of Lodoss War, an anime I found through recommendations here. I just finished episode 2 of 13, and it's really good so far. I'm eager to keep watching it.
I'm also in the middle of season five of Murdoch Mysteries, but Netflix is pulling it at the end of this month, so I won't be able to watch it until further notice. Poopy.
I have been watching the Death Note anime, but it's starting to get long-winded, and running out of ideas, and I don't know if I want to watch another eleven episodes of a show on empty. I'll try to finish before too long, but I'm not enthused to do so.
I've also seen the first episodes of Merlin and Last Kingdom, and I want to get back to them sooner than later, but I've been preoccupied with other shows.
Your turn! It matters not to me how many you do, or if you have little blurbs about them, but I do encourage only a handful, and to try to engage in discussion about them.
PS: I apologize if someone has started a thread of this ilk. I just didn't see it.

How does it have a continuing narrative? It's an anthology.

It does within each season. That's what I meant, but I must not have worded it well. So long as there's a continuing narrative at least for each season, I'm happy.
Oh sorry. I thought you meant for the entire show.

Bojack Horseman
Steven Universe
Rick and Morty
They're actually very serialized.

Rick and Morty has been great this season. The pickle ep and the last one were amazing. Think it's been alot better than Season 2 personally.
As well as Rick and Morty i just started The Night Manager last night which is a miniseries about a guy going undercover to stop an arms dealer, i liked the first ep quite a bit. Also watching Tales From The Crypt which i'm having good fun with even though i wouldn't call it a good show. Then Nathan For You Season 4 starts in two weeks which i can't wait for, think it's my favourite airing show.
I haven't been very fond of the current season of Rick & Morty, with the pickle ep being the worst and most excruciating I've seen in my opinion. I've found the quality in the inventiveness and delivery of the jokes kind of lacking, and for most of these episodes the emotional depth doesn't seem to add anything of value to what we already know. Probably that episode with Jerry was the closest to doing something actually new with the characters. However the last episode was amazing and one of the series' best, so yeah. High hopes, very high hopes.
To me the first season is still the peak of the show. Not that the subsequent are any bad, though.
I'm watching Bakemonogatari as well but I'm pacing myself a lot. It doesn't seem like a fitting show for binge-watching. Well, I just started. I plan to watch the entire franchise so it's going to take a while.
The pickle episode was a blast. I don't think the shows world building or emotional depth is ever going to be anything original or even that interesting; two moments in the first season are all i'd say has been high quality on the show and that's more than i was expecting from a ridiculous no restrictions Adult Swim show. All i want is a fun (not even necessarily funny) episode and i think the pickle one was really fun.

Watching season 2 of Mr Robot. I really like this show. Also, I see you started The Last Kingdom. That was fun, and totally what I needed after GoT, because that always makes me want to watch swords.
If you want more like The Last Kingdom, Pillars if the Earth will cater to you. :)

Yep, I agree on what the pickle episode is supposed to be, however my issue with it is that it doesn't manage to be. I mean, the premise is ridiculous enough, I expect something outlandish and inventive to fit the scenario. Instead I get a Die hard parody that screams uninspired. It's not the only episode that has disappointed me in that way this season (the second was very dull), but this one was specially disappointing since it worked with a very ridiculous idea and it needed better quality and delivery to back it up imo.
Watching season 2 of Mr Robot.
It's not as good as Season 1 though, right? I really loved Season 1 and was dissapointed in the second, still liked it and am looking forward to 3.
jal90 Yeah i don't really disagree with your criticisms of it, it is uninspired we obviously just got different levels of entertainment from the episode. Which one is the second is that the one with Ricks ex who is basically every person on the planet? If so i agree wasn't a fan of that one.

No, I meant the second of the season xD, Rickmancing the stone, the Mad Max parody. I'm not much of a fan of the one you mention either, but I like it and its ending sequence is very iconic.
And yep, to me season 1 is still unparalleled in terms of freshness and quality, and will likely remain that way. Season 2 retains some of its qualities but it's more sporadic. Season 3 so far had been subpar till last episode and I expect this later half of the season to be way better than the first.

Not quite half way through S02 yet, but so far I would agree. Still good, but not as "bam!"

I kind of lost interest in Mr. Robot after the big reveal in S1. Last two episodes were fine, but to me the show just didn't have the same allure afterwards.

I don't think I made it that far. Didn't like the central character so eventually lost interest.
