Anyone catch "Anatomy of a Shark Bite" on the Discovery Channel? I thought it was pretty interesting though I didn't agree with a lot of their scientific theories. Trying to measure maximum pressure of a Great White's bite by letting it nibble on flimsy instrument sticks is HARDLY what I would call accurate scientific evidence.
At one point, one of the researchers said the bite of a particular species shark was surprisingly not much greater than a human's. Oh come on!! That's like measuring the maximum force of a human's bite by putting little sensors on gum. Oh well, it was still very interesting with great shark footage. :)
