Watch this show often, Chip Foose and his team are pretty good... way better than Coddington.
They got a 1954 Chevy Pickup to overhaul... but, with all the modifications they've done, they've basically built a new car.
Everything has been built from scratch or is altered parts from second-hand vehicles. I mean, like, everything... even the chassis :laugh:
The back of the pickup has been totally replaced with a 1953 pickup so basically it's brand new... the chassis has been replaced with a scratch made one because the brand spanking new engine is too powerful... the bonnet needed replacing to fit the new engine... doors needed replacing to fit around the new back-end... the inside of the cab has been ripped out because the owner is a big guy and didn't fit in the cab as it was... this meant the firewall and the controls needed completely replaced... and they had to replace all the wings because the brand spanking new wheels and braking system wouldn't fit under the old wings.
They've also had to change the ignition system because of the new engine.
All that's left of the original car is the shell of the cab :laugh:
They might as well have just bought the guy a new car.
