Why is that okay for the Jew’s Anti Defamation League to always "crying wolves" using anti-semitism as the excuse for their “crimes”? Mel Gibson’s film is realistically depicting the actual incident as according to the Christian’s Bible. Just look at how the Palestine people in the Middle East is been treated in their owned land by the Jew like third class citizens, isn’t that "anti-Semitism" too?

No wonder the Germans and the rest of Europe hated the Jews. Only in America can we tolerated the Jew because they have the money to buy off the "mouths" of the press & congress.......History happened for the reason........

Well, Mr Newwin.

I don't know much about the Anti Defamation League but I guess they are pretty extreme, am I right? Anyway, it is okay for them to cry "wolf" or what the hell they want to about Passion in the same way it is okay for the Knights of Columbus to say what they want about films like Priest. It is called democracy. Meet the arguments instead of "crying wolf" because of someone's race.

Do you honestly believe that wealthy and powerful jewish americans are the only people that are privileged by the american system? You're either very naive or a racist. Which one is it? My sympathies lie (mostly, not totally) with the palestines too, but how do you figure the wrong doings of some of the israelis is the responsibility of the entire jewish race?

Will you please elaborate a little on your thoughts on "the reasons", and apparently also the right and justified reasons, to why the nazis wanted to exterminate the jewish race. I would be very interested to hear it.

Where are you from, by the way? What country, I mean.

I’m rather curious to know the answers to Piddz’s questions too…

Have you seen the movie? No.

Members of the Anti-Defamation League have, so at least they aren't complaining about something out of ignorance like some people tend to do (Kong won't name names though, *cough* newwin *cough*).

You might be able to make the argument that the members of the ADL who saw The Passion were influenced by preconcieved notions that it was racist, but you aren't making that argument.

From what I have seen of the trailer of this movie, it seems to portray the Jews in pretty favorable light--Jesus is obviously Jewish who speaks Aramaic, as are his disciples. On the other hand, the depiction of the Romans is less than flattering--take a look at Pontius Pilate, for example. I don't understand what the controversy is all about, but it should be interesting to watch the movie.

If Newwin was looking for an actual discussion here, he wouldn't have stated the topic in the way he did, and he would have used the search button to find the already well developed discussion (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=4513&highlight=deicide) on this topic like a considerate Nazi.

I'd like to argue with you, but the content simply isn't there. You claim that the jewish mistreatment of Palestine is "anti-semitism," which is incorrect by definition, and in the end you seem to allude to the Holocaust being justified because we have money and you dislike us.

It's just not well written enough for me to really rail against. Next time perhaps you should have your Klan leader proofread for you.

And in the future, please pick a sentence tence to use and stick with it.

I have a lot of conflicting emotions regarding THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST...I think the film is a directorial triumph for Mel Gibson and I think it is a bold interpretation of an oft-told story and I think it is brilliantly executed by the director and the cast and I am glad that I saw it; however, I feel it is one of the most unpleasant experiences I had watching a movie and I have no desire to ever see it again..
