So a lot of images are being hit with this. Photobucket has since changed their preferences for 3rd party hosting usage. So if people want to continue using Photobucket for images, they're going to have to pay. How much?
$400 a year.
WTF? :p:p:p
Talk about the death of a website.
What are the other options out there? Anyone?

Buy a domain and some hosting... that way it's always under your control. I pay less than $10 per month for mine (unlimited storage) and I have a bunch of domains and sub domains (one being an image server).
I switched to IMGUR at the prodding of some Mofo a couple years back. Not sure if the same thing will happen but so far so good. Yoda's tweak of managing attachments has made it so I don't use 3rd part nearly as much. I really could avoid it altogether forr this site now.
Yeah I switched to Imgur as well. Photobucket went to shite.
Yeah, I use attachments when I can, because those will be there as long as the site is. Barring that, or for less critical things, or things a little too big to be attached: Imgur seems like the safest.

Yeah I noticed yesterday when I was looking at one of my old reviews that a photo I had hot linked to was gone and replaced with:
https://www.movieforums.com/community/attachment.php?attachmentid=32529&stc=1&d=1499872363
That's why I almost always attach a photo. I wonder how many post on MoFo are now sporting the above image?

I switched to Imgur as well a couple months back.
Photobucket became unusable with the laggy loading and the simple fact that the site has unwanted pop-ups and adware all over it.
Shame. Photobucket was the biggest and best at one point and worked really well.
Imgur though is so much better tbh than Photobucket ever was.

Had trouble with Photobucket for months and gave up trying to upload photos to them for my film collection topic here, just gone into my topic now and the topic is buggered up full of that 3rd Party logo shite instead of my photos. :(
Will try that Imgur, and attachments from now on.
