I thought 2016 was over. :(

RIP to a true legend whose influence on music is as about as widespread as possible. If you look at the musical artists paying tribute to him on Twitter, you can see the umbrella of influence covers many decades and styles.

I'm friends with someone who used to manage a concert venue and was standing beside her when, in the early 90s, Chuck did one of his infamous cash up front demands. ;)
