Maybe do a top three? It's up to you, but that's what I'm doing. Here's my top three:
1. Murdoch Mysteries
I'm honestly worn out on murder mystery shows, but Murdoch Mysteries separates itself from its counterparts because it's set in Victorian Canada, the characters are interesting, and the mysteries are actually clever. It's also not that depressing, unlike so many other murder mystery shows. Yes, Murdoch Mysteries is dark, but there are some humorous bits here and there that keep it fresh. An example of a murder mystery that I'm tired of seeing is Longmire, where I could only watch two episodes before bailing because it's just so bleak, and the murders are convoluted. Blacklist started out great, but ran out of so much steam it broke down in the middle of the third season. However, I'm on the fourth season of Murdoch Mysteries, and I've never been bored or overly depressed. It's an awesome show.
2. Doctor Who Reboot
Being an American who thinks he's British, this is right up my street. I'm not happy Netflix pulled it off of streaming, but I think they ran into rights issues with the BBC, so they had to remove it. Shame, too, because I had just gotten to the second Doctor, and loved what I had seen, and now I can't watch it so conveniently. Shame. But, yeah, everyone is great, and the stories glide right on through the episodes, never taking too long or not long enough to tell their stories. Awesome. I'll look into buying the show, since I don't want to watch it broadcast because I'll get lost.
3. Hell on Wheels
I've been on a Western kick of late, and this is an awesome show that tells a Western story quite well. I just finished the first season, so this may change in the future, but I'm going with the mindset that it'll keep on rocking. It only went five seasons, so I'm hoping it finished, as opposed to getting canceled. That'd suck. Everyone is great, and I sympathize with the characters I should, and hate those that don't deserve sympathy. The writers did a bang-up job, and the actors helped bring the teleplays to life. I'm going to get back to it soon, but I'm busy with a project of my own.
Your turn!
01.The Americans
02.Nathan For You
03.Mr Robot
04.Master of None
05.Atlanta
Posted about The Americans loads here and Master of None a fair bit i think. Need to watch more airing shows. I'm not counting stuff like South Park or It's Always Sunny that would be really high on my all-time favourites because they are both past their prime and are no longer my favourite airing shows.
Edit: Actually expanded it to five coz i forgot Nathan For You and Mr Robot somehow. Also not including Twin Peaks until it actually starts again.
I think Black Sails is the only one I;m watching.
The Path.
Havent even bothered with TWD. My husband has gone off it and he's the only reason I watched it.

Currently my favorite is Game of Thrones, but sadly it will be ending next year. Holding out hope that they are gonna try and milk every last drop out of George's world by making spin offs and prequels. Bonus points for some great video games only had 1 good one. My relationship with The Walking Dead is complicated so once GoT ends Sherlock will probably keep the crown until Benedict and Martin decide enough is a enough.

I don't know what TWD is.
The walking dead. Humans walking around like moron zombies.
Person of Interest has finished sadly, so what's left... Elementary I've just gotten into, Pretty Little Liars is fun (albeit also about to end), The Tunnel (ditto)....
Not much, really. Shame, really,.I love good TV but for all the claims that we're in the Golden Age of TV (sorry, that was the 90s, folks) there's not much around that interests me (or that's accessible).

Oh! I'm not a zombie guy, so I tend to ignore Walking Dead. Well, at least now I know what you meant.

The three series I listed are the only ones I list as top-tier favorites that are still airing. I have an IMDb list of 14, and the other 11 are all done, and have been for quite some time.

1. Game of Thrones
2. South Park
3. Agents of Shield
I was watching Westworld but I stopped after episode 5. I missed watching episode 6 after it was released on HBO NOW and never bothered to get back to watching it.

I am totally over zombies. I havent liked the characters in that show since the first season. Only watched it for the gore and because my husband liked it, plus it cured my insomnia. He would just wake me up for a gore scene. Now even he's bored with it.

Colony
I'm am submerged in Legion right now and am likely to do so for Fargo when it airs in April.
Other than that, I'm not watching much of anything. Waiting on American Gods and The Leftovers later this year too.
Waiting of GoT, like pretty much everyone in the world. I also have to get on The Americans.
Colony, Legion, the Tracey Ullman Show and Black Sails are appointment television for me right now.
Black Sails .
Wooo. I'm about to check out the latest episode.

I loved the first season, but I can't afford premium channels, so I haven't gotten to the second season yet. It's waiting to come up next on Netflix.

I think the latest season is terrible. I keep falling asleep.

Just finished Taboo, going to start the new Broadchurch tonight.
Still watching the Walking Dead, still invested in those characters.
Also watching Portrait Artist of the Year, a programme in which amateur and professional artists paint a portrait of one of three different famous people. Seeing the likenesses emerge out of different styles and media is fascinating.
Here's Alan Sepinwall's (a tv critic i like) 20 best of 2016 List. He's American so his list is mostly American, the ones in bold have a new season this year, the one's with * finished last year. Also he mentions that The Leftovers didn't have a Season in 2016 and that that's his favourite show since Mad Men:
20.Brooklyn Nine-Nine
19.Game of Thrones
18.Catastrophe
17.Transparent
16.American Crime (An Anthology Show so Season 3 will be different from Season 2)
15.Girls (In it's Final Season)
14.Better Things
13.Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
12.Orange Is The New Black
11.Halt and Catch Fire (its final season)
10.Crazy Ex Girlfriend
09.Better Call Saul
08.Fleabag
07.Veep
06.Atlanta
05.Rectify*
04.Bojack Horseman
03. O.J.: Made in America* & The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story (another anthology show, season 2 won't air until 2018)
02.The Americans
01.Horace and Pete (interest has been expressed in Season 2 but it hasn't been confirmed and won't be this year if it happens)
I think the latest season is terrible. I keep falling asleep.
Definitely a partly rushed wrap-up season. I think along the way they got lost in their own personal narrative and forgot it's supposed to be setting up Treasure Island.

The Magicians
The Path
Colony
Criminal Minds
Orange Is The New Black
Outcast
There are a few others but I don't have cable television so Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon are my go-to.
I gave up on The Walking Dead. Just too much angst for one television show.
