What are you doing New Year's eve?Hmm...let's see, I'm hanging out at MoFo, having a beer (maybe I'll live dangerously and have two!), then pizza and I'll top the festive evening with a movie, then bedtime (sleep only)....Not the most exciting:p

Damn Americans pretending it's already New Year there to join in.
Nothing too elaborate here. Wife and I had white russians earlier and we'll just have a normal dinner in a few. We're having a late Christmas tomorrow so we'll have a bit more fun/food then.
Happy New Year. :)
New Years Day was the bigger day until i was about 16 then it was New Years Eve mainly for the bells with friends/girlfriends and now this year it's back to New Years Day for me.

I'm on my second glass of champagne. It's only 6:30 here though so this year's not over yet for me.
New Year's Day is Brenda's Birthday, so we always have a weeklong celebration for that reason. We had pho soup and sandwich for lunch today and we're having hors d'oeuvres and booze (Cali "Champagne" and/or Prosecco) later tonight. Tomorrow we're having a light brunch and a take-out dinner from B.J.'s Brewhouse maybe. Brenda's already got a new dining room table and chairs, a TCM Wine Club selection of 15 wines, some books, another Artesania Rinconada figurine and a few other doodads and charitable donations for Christmas and New Year's. (It's all being paid for with smoke and mirrors.)
I hope everybody has a safe and happy 2017.

Had originally planned to stay home, drink (had a third glass between my last post and now), browse MoFo and maybe watch a movie, but Funny Face just called and invited me to go with her to Cache Creek. So instead I'll be gambling and probably drinking some more.
It's only a little after 9:00 p.m. right now. See you all next year!

Hubby and I went out to dinner with his parents, and then we watched some TV until the ball dropped in Times Square. Not a very exciting evening, but we enjoyed it. :)

Happy New Year, Capt. :)
No thanks, I'm full. We went to TGI Fridays for their Endless Appetizers. For $10 each, we ate four different kinds of boneless chicken wings, BBQ flatbread, mozzarella sticks, loaded potato skins, and fried green beans. The food was so good that we didn't even leave room for dessert. :)

Better than my New Year's Eve: I ate leftover pasta alone and watched the Twilight Zone and the Honeymooners!

That sounds like my Mom's New Year's Eve. She lives in Florida, and there are usually a lot of people around to keep her company, but since it's NYE, everyone had places to go, so she stayed home alone and watched a "Game of Thrones" marathon on TV. But she was pretty happy about it when I spoke to her at midnight. She even rushed me off the phone so she could get back to her TV show.

Happy New Year, CR! :)
When I was a kid, I lived near a mall called Green Acres Mall, and I didn't know why there was a song about it on TV.

It was just a normal indoor shopping mall with lots of stores on several levels. It wasn't even painted green. It just had that name. (It still does. It's in Valley Stream, NY.)

hors d'oeuvres I kept asking myself what "whores doovre" is until I Googled it and also found out how you pronounce it. WHY FRENCH WHY
I spent New Year Eve watching films. I watched 6 of them till 4 AM and then read a book (in its entirety!!!) till 7 AM and I went to bed at 7:30.

I drank, ate and smoked like a pig. Time to recover now so I can do it all over again on the next 31st of December. ;)
I wish you all a bunch of very satisfying film experiences in 2017. Happy New Year!

Why not? Some of the stores around here already have their Easter items for sale. I almost bought a Cadbury Creme Egg a few days ago.

Twilight Zone on New Year's Eve? Sounds like an excellent way to start the new year.

I grew up working in a restaurant and we had this black board in the lobby that said "Hot Hors D'oeuvres every Friday night!" and someone would always erase part of it so it read "Hot Hors every Friday night!" :D
