Nah, I don't think so... I wouldn't give negative rep points to anyone except for if that person was doing something really really nasty. In fact, I have only given negative points on two occasions of which the first one was in the youth of the system and before I had decided that I shouldn't give them to someone just because I thought the post was stupid.

I have don't use any beauty products at all. I never have. No tanning supplies, no hair spray, and picking at the eyebrows.

I'll clip my nails, use deoderant, shave, and trim nose/ear hairs, but that's it.

I had no idea until yesterday that Jonathan Brandis commited suicide. Not that I was a fan or anything, but he was recognizable enough. It's just a sad thing when someone young does something like that.

It is a beautiful poem... :) ... but darn it... I miss you every time you are on here lately... :(

Have a good christmas/holiday/gut-expanding-time-of-it y'all. I'm gonna be away from the brain-jangling box for most of the festive-frolicks. (To stay healthy, follow Dr Sunfrog's advice, and eat lots of problem-preventing cranberries. - *Cautionary note: may not prevent pregnancy* ;)). I've opted for giving up smoking instead. Lots of food there as a substitute to chemically alter my head. Mmmm.

Looking forward to tucking into some fresh arguments and reviews in the new year with yous all (with some long-running left-overs sandwiched in the middle too :))

And finally....to whoever recommended Hidden Fortress as a good comedy....you have a very strange sense of humour. Still, nice change from the normal xmas movies. (remember, if the reindeer start talking, it's time to turn off the tv, or at least tone-down on the sherry)

Hey Cait'! Yes ma'am, I am. You should see all the puppies that have come into the store recently. From Goldens to Boston Terriers--GAWD, it's a damn fine job. Plus, now that I've been working there for so long, some of the puppies are getting older--it's like I get to watch them grow up! Everyone should love their job this much!

i loved it-absolutley fantabulous. theres alot of things about it I really enjoyed about it. the devices Q.T used and such and such...I wish i could of replied sooner, but i had a busy weekend

(i also ended up seeing 'Saving Private ryan', 'The Patriot' and the first half-hour of 'Peter Pan')

heh- heres what I really thought of Kill Bill but didn't have the time to post....

I have almost nothing bad to say about 'Kill Bill: Volume 1'. there was so much about it that made it stupendous that it made up for all the bad stuff.

First off- Uma Thurman. She was superb, there was so much strength she put in to the role of the Bride that her character became very distinct. And while the bride could of been just a one-sided characater the witty and sometimes sardonic wit Thurman gave was so beautifuly faceted that it was brilliant to say the least. But for some reason i do not feel she deserves an award for it, wait for Volume 2.

The techniques I thought Tarantino used all worked to his advantage. The way he went back and forth with setting and times were all unique. At first I thought it was going to be a bit awkward but it provided amazing flow to the movie.

Using the animation to tell oren-Ishi's story at first seemed like he was trying to make it not very serious and sort of down-play the chracter by deriving from the film into animation. Later as I thought about it though I realized how it helped the main plot line, if Tarantino were to tell Oren_Ishi's story normally on film it would of dragged out and since he didn't want that but still wanted to show the important aspects of Oren's character he did it in animation so it wouldn't seem as if part of the film but still provide teh information needed.

There were also little details that did so much for the scene it was in. for example towards the end when oren-Ishi and the Bride are fighting and it's completley silent except for that water thing making that rhythm . It gave such intensity to that scene that I learned a valuable lesson on how just one little element in detail can do multitudes in effect.
