well idk much about genre, but i evade holywood musical as possible , also romance kinda like that, lack tendency for horror(but got no problem if it caught my interest). i like somekind of thrill, action, world war movie, well thought drama, cerebral movie, japanese "stupid" comedy emm well i guess that.
my absolute favorite director is chris nolan and andrei tarkovsky

Have you seen Nolan's The Prestige (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482571/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_8) ? I just watched that and it was really well done. The only Tarkovsky film I've seen is Solaris, which I really liked. Have you seen that one?

Well, take a look at my top 10 favorites and you'll see I'm stuck in the past! I like really old movies, even silent films. I do like Japanese cinema from the 50s and 60s, though I haven't seen a lot of it.i just thought f for fake was one of your fave, but that's top 10 quite blur for my "database" haha, pretty interesting.
i haven's seen a lot too for jap's classic. pretty much just from the currents. i'll blaming their comedy movies for that lol
