I loved the last series of that – I think the third? I hadn't seen it properly before. Great cameos as well, with David Arnold cropping up round a table at one point.

I know right, and Graham is great because he doesnt really butt in,he lets the guests talk without interrupting and doesnt mind letting the stars be stars.I see James Cordon is trying it and he does not pull it off at all.

09.Blackadder (4 is my favourite for the record)

I watched them all again in the lead-up to last Christmas, along with the specials and extras. Hadn't seen Blackadder's Christmas Carol for years and I cracked up on the line "And my best wishes to your massive offspring" which I'd clean forgotten.

Blackadder the Third is my favourite, followed by Blackadder II. It's quite difficult to decide whether I like The Black Adder or Blackadder Goes Forth best, but I suppose on quality I'd have to say the fourth series.

Yeah, I mean that's why Michael Parkinson was so good in years gone by. And Terry Wogan was great as well – Graham Norton's basically replaced him in every area since Eurovision. I think he's doing Children in Need tonight :).

Of course – sorry I forgot :p.

Seriously? I think The Black Adder is really, really, terrible. It drags the whole show down IMO. If my dad wasn't a big fan who made me keep watching after that crap i doubt i would've ever seen 2-4 which is great. I honestly thought everyone hated The Black Adder, oh well fair enough.

Ive only seen a few Parkinson interviews, but you`re right. Hes a bit more serious though which is interesting-ive seen a few from Piers Morgan and mygawd that man is awful.
I didnt know Terry Wogan had a show though,i knew he had eurovision. I remember when Graham took over that 1st year it got in the papers over here..they dont exactly have the same style do they?
Mind you,i have no idea why it got in the papers cos nobody here listened to either since we have our own narrator  but anyways

Grahams sorta ruined all other chatshows for me though, lol, cos the rest dont hold up. I think Jonathan Ross is okay depending on the guest (he needs an outgoing guest) dont like chattyman, fallon is too fake, kimmel is okay but very light and i think james cordons is pretty awful aswell.

I'm struggling between that and Mary Berry's perpetual love of gin and avoidance of soggy bottoms, though :(

and i even know what you`re talking about  My mum watches her all the time

Blasphemy! I really like Chattyman! But I do prefer Graham Norton, and he's the only reason I watch Eurovision to be honest
I agree about Jonathan Ross, if he isn't interviewing someone incredibly outgoing, then it gets boring fast.

It was weird seeing clips of the Pilot actually, because Rowan Atkinson's outfit, voice and behaviour was a lot more like the second series. I think there's a lot in The Black Adder to like – the last episode is my favourite – although it's obviously not perfect. I think with Goes Forth it's more than just a comedy so in a way it's less of an escape than the others.

He is that. We have to suffer him on Good Morning Britain as well.

I didnt know Terry Wogan had a show though,i knew he had eurovision.

Yeah, he did: Wogan, which ran from 1982–92. There were some amazing interviews on that, including a great one with Bette Davis towards the end of her career.

I remember when Graham took over that 1st year it got in the papers over here..they dont exactly have the same style do they?

Well, I think it's just the acerbic, cutting wit that they have in common :D. Norton just communicates it in a different way but he was the perfect person to continue that role.

Ugh,i dont know how he keeps getting jobs tbh hes so obnoxious and pompous- i really cant stand to listen to him.
Ive watched a few of his interviews..i remember he interview cheryl cole after she left Ashley, and also Geri one time-both who are really outgoing people-but it was still just really awkward and uncomfortable. I see he writes coloums for the dailymail now,and does the same gross trolling as Katie whats-her-name for click bait.

Ah,I`ll have to youtube that then, esp Bette Davis!! I love a good interview, i never grew out of that teen phase obsessing over celebs

Most of my favorite British shows are of course Crime Dramas and most of them are on Netflix, because I don't live in the UK and I don't get any British networks where I live.

1. Sherlock
2. Luther
3. Peaky Blinders
4. The Fall
5. Doctor Who
6. Being Human (though Seasons 4 & 5 are horrible)
7. Ripper Street
8. River

also honorable mention is this new show called Wasted, its very influenced by Edgar Wright, the main character in it's spirit guide is Sean Bean dressed as Ned Stark, and it's hilarious. This one isn't on Netflix I'm just a big LOTR/GoT fan and I heard about this one from friends of mine.

Haven't seen The Crown but I thought it was ludicrous to cast Matt Smith as Philip – he's good but he can't change his appearance that much (there's something wrong with that sentence ;)). And although I haven't seen Claire Foy in any full production I can see how good she is, and very good casting by contrast.

I dont think I've seen Matt in anything else but I thought he was great in this. And Claire was just amazing. For me it really changed my opinion of the Royals. I didnt even want to see this but 2 of my brothers raved about it so thought I'd check out the pilot to see why it cost so much. Totally hooked. It's not often I binge a tv show but this dragged me right in. I recommend it, See.

I remember seeing Claire Foy in a bit of Wolf Hall and noticing how talented she was.

If you get a chance you should have a look at Matt Smith in Doctor Who. I loved watching his acting, especially early on. I think he's the best of the new series Doctors.

I havent heard of Peep Show but Luther is great. And Misfits is hysterical. Someone mentioned Wire in the Blood - really good.

Peep Show's an incredible series, mainly because of the central idea of how we see the characters interact.

Nothing can top Inside No. 9 for me right now. Black Mirror is like the TOTES SRS side of it.

Car Share. Loved the last series, now the new one's stsrted . Cheers me up no end :)

Did you watch it yet?

I couldn't believe it when I found out that fourth episode was the last one. I thought there would be six like the first series. What a place to leave it!

I'm lined up to watch the rest tonight. Sad it's the end, but it'll be like a little jewel of a comedy, not too many made and never went rubbish.
My favourite scene is when he was at traffic lights and tries to run to post the card and nearly makes it back but falls over. I still laugh thinking about it. and the dogging episode :D

Easy - Monty Python's Flying Circus, which is the best show ever. I've had the 16-Ton Megaset since 2004, and I frequently watch some episodes, and infrequently watch others, and the specials somewhat frequently. It's never gotten old, even though I know half of the sketches almost as well as they did when making them. Awesome.

It's not my favorite (not sure I can choose one) but I've been watching London Spy on Netflix. Ignore the generic title and give it a go. It's a pretty sleepy but thoughtful mystery show. Ben Whishaw and Jim Broadbent are really good in it.

Not made for binge watching, IMO, so take it slowly.

The first few episodes of this were amazing! I think it lost it a bit in the last couple, but still well worth a watch. Ben Whishaw is always good.

It's been a real nostalgia high to see the last two series of Red Dwarf. Very reminiscent of the classic period between Series 3 and 6, which is when I was first watching it.

Have you seen the line up for the next series? It doesn't inspire confidence in me. TBH, at the moment, I'd be happy with better than season 6.

Its quite underwhelming compared to Series 7 but I think it might sill be able to work.
