Kenneth Dixon is supposed to make his debut this week, thats good cause Jamaal Charles is on a Bye. Tannehills playing this week for me with Brees on his Bye too. Brady returns and Julian Edelman should finally be able to earn some real points. Im as prepared for the undefeated Donnie Football this Sunday as I can be. ;)

Donnies QB Palmer is Out, but that hurts my Fitz. ugh. Edelmans foot is hurt now too. Ugh! Its not even Sunday yet.....
Whoa ho ho! Fitz has 23.10 fps and halfway thru 3rd qtr, nice!

Oy oy oy oy oy!! Make no mistake, I feel/hope/pray Brady returning giving Edelman life again, and Charles returning, can bring me up to speed with the Angry Men.
Titans are putttin a whoopin on Ryan Tannehill, missed protection left and right. Think itll be close at best between me and Donnie this week.
5:00 left in the first half, and the Dolphins have gotten a total of 30 yards of offense
GAH! Tannehills been completely dominated this game vs the Titans. I drafted for him for Brees's Bye week. This is just great.........:indifferent:
Do you all have a secret Football thread you wont tell me about? Hello!! aw..... ;)
Me and Donnie in a dead heat. Go Devonta go! Hes got Shady & Witten.
It may come down to MNF with his Bucs QB Jameis Winston vs my Bucs 3rd string RB thats starting, Jacquizz Rodgers

Some of us are about to be 0-5 and don't want to talk about it.
Lisa giving me an old fashioned beating this week! :(
Damn Titans, them buggering Tannehill in Miami yesterday screwed up what could have been a gift from Deangelo Williams giving Donnies Football a donut. Ryan Tannehill only got 3.84 fps , I actually drafted him thinking for this week :sick:, Now Ive got less than a 5 point lead on Donnies Football, he has Jameis Winston, and I have Jaquizz Rodgers.
Yahoo gives me a 1 in 3 chance, and that sounds about right. The Bucs are at Carolina :sick::sick:

If Jacquizz didnt get this start or I him then I would have surely lost. The Bucs were using him just like if he were Doug Martin, and he was delivering Doug Martin stuff too. Hes 5'6" and looked like a little hustling wiggle worm out there crawling for every inch
@ Carolina - 30 attempts, 101 yds
6 tgts, 5 rec, 28 yds
15.40 fps
Not too shabby. ;)

Looks promising, I'm worried about my Martin stock in a paid league I'm in
On the bright side Olsen got me 18 points sealing a win there
I've got one loss, and I scored 123 points that week.
So far, so good.

Yeah Im like...outright afraid of your team. My only hope is Brady/Edelman erupt, and Jamaal Charles. Your run game is whats intimidating. I actually sent offers to JJ & Fab for DeMarco & Ezekiel offering Devonta/Edelman but changed my mind.
I have to give Donnie props for his composure. If I had Jameis Winston last night, by halftime Ida been livid.
General question to anyone - Wouldnt the NFL make more money if they spread their games out throughout the week rather than most of them on Sunday? Thursday and Monday night football attendance has always been solid, and I know Id watch more games overall if they were spaced apart.
Week 6, this will be the first time my squad will be running full speed on all cylinders. Jamaals finally ready to go full boar, and Brady to Edelman is inevitable, though theyre facing the Bengals. Oh I really hope I put up a mighty 11 Angry Men point total. :p

I don't.
Catching up on the league record book. Some noteworthy numbers so far:
Week 2
- Lord of the Rings, 45.88 points (T-7th lowest ever)
Week 3
- The Empire, 61.98 points (19th lowest ever, unadjusted)
Week 4
- donnie beats Pete by 0.10 points (one yard), tied for lowest ever (June over Pete, Week 7, 2010)
- PlasticPads&IronMen, 59.98 points (25th lowest ever)
Week 5
- Pete beats Captain by 2.48, (T-38th closest ever).
- TONGO beats donnie by 2.78, (42nd closest ever).
- Little Machines, 53.08 points (13th lowest ever)

:yup:
Its the Picard.
Wasn't sure about buying low on Todd Gurley, but part of the idea was that they couldn't possibly leave someone that talented out of their passing game for long. Thankfully, that seems to be working out: 5 catches two weeks ago, 3 last week, and 3 before halftime today. Gives him a pretty high floor even when the Rams' offense is struggling. Whew.
I dont know if I should say this but it bears saying, my opponents each week seem to have the worst weeks when up against me. Im hoping Jamaal Charles & Doug Martin/Jacquizz give me a boost, but until now my squads been surfing the waves of chance.
Yeah, thats a nice way of saying it. ;)
Though Brees has been awesome - 5 min left in the 3rd qtr, 333 yds & 3 tds 31.32 fps, so far
Yeah, unfortunately that's a big part of fantasy football.
Well I hope Fitz is good for 10 fantasy points vs the Jets on Monday Night Fotball, or Ill lose to Fab this week.

Lots of entries into the record book this week:
Week 6
- 11 Angry Men, 171.54 points (8th highest ever, highest of the season)
- Yoda and jiraffe, 278.26 combined points (29th highest ever)
- Beantown Champs, 78.36 points (11th lowest winning score ever)
- Pete and Sedai, 153.96 combined points (20th lowest ever)
- Fabulous and TONGO, 0.86 margin of victory (14th closest ever)
- Captain and donnie, 2.26 margin of victory (39th closest ever)
- Pete and Sedai, 2.76 margin of victory (45th closest ever)
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is now expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Luckily I have Matt Ryan, who has been putting up some great numbers.
Well it looks like Arian Fosters gonna come back for Yoda......aw, whats this?! Theres no room for him?! Oh I so hope the trend of the most powerful FFB team in the league NOT winning keeps going. Powdered Water had a monster years back when I traded him Brady. I think he had Welker & Moss and it was one of those seasons they ran up the score, and we were full 1 point per reception. Got some fat ol scores there! He got knocked out of the playoffs though.
There have been other monster squads, none won. Point is history shows us Yoda needs to unload some of his players, and it will improve his chances. :yup:
;)
That's almost true...my 2014 team broke the points record (and a handful of others) and managed to finish the job. And the top scoring team has won four out of eight years, though I suppose not every top scoring team qualifies as a "monster" squad.
But yeah, every year we're at the mercy of a lot of luck once the playoffs start. You can help your cause a lot by getting a bye, but beyond that you're basically just trying to have a 70% chance of winning instead of a 40% chance, or whatever. No sure things, just maximizing the odds.
All that said, Foster can be had, since I don't currently have room for him. I've dealt most of my depth already, so I'm fine just hanging onto some insurance, but I'm open to upgrading at WR2 or something, if someone needs a RB (and someone always does).
rauldc14
10-20-16, 08:34 PM
Foster isn't worth a WR2. Don't fall for it guys! :p
I was actually thinking Foster and a WR for a moderately better WR.
I'm not really sure what Foster's worth, though. Big risk/reward guy right now, but at this point in the season that's exactly the kind of thing a few teams need to be looking for.
Wow, Don Jackson, the guy GB signed from the practice squad to fill in for the decimated RB core just went out with a hand injury. Theres some voodoo on GBs backfield
The "kiss of death" continues. Inmates WR & RB got a grand total of...........7 points tonight, ouch. Other than when I just got crushed by Mikeys Nannies  all my opponents worst weeks have been against me.

Dolphins' Arian Foster announces his NFL retirement
Rendered a non-factor in Miami's offense amid Jay Ajayi's emergence as a burgeoning superstar, veteran running back Arian Foster announced his retirement Monday.
Foster made his Dolphins debut as the Week 1 starter, but was waylaid by the latest in a long line of soft-tissue injuries early in the Week 2 loss to the Patriots. He will finish his brief Miami career with 55 rushing yards on 22 attempts.

Thank you, Devontae Booker. :)
I play in two leagues. Both my teams lost in week 1. They're a combined 11-1 since. Whoo.
Record book entries this week:
Week 7
- Seds tying for the 8th-longest losing streak (6 games)
- Me tying for the 6th-longest winning streak (also 6 games)
Me tying for the 6th-longest winning streak (also 6 games)
https://secure.netflix.com/us/boxshots/ghd/60003624.jpg
Yeah, I've got you next week. If I win again this week the streak'll be tied for the third-longest. On top of that, decent chance we'll go into it as the #1 and #2 teams. Could be a big matchup.
Still a ways to go for the record, though, which was 11 (2014, me again); started in week 5 and ended with the season. Starting a streak early's the only way to have a chance at that one, since a team winning that many games is going to get a playoff bye and only play 15 games all year.
Our week 9 matchup isnt quite the real thing since you have David Johnson on a Bye. Ill take it though :D The playoff game which hopefully will happen, thats where I hope my preparations pay off.
Ah yeah, I forgot. D'oh. That'll be a big blow. I've got a couple other key players in tough matchups, too, so I probably wouldn't bet on me.

Given that Stafford and Gurley both have games against tough defenses, I'll be pretty happy if it's close.
Oh Im being mean to Tater. His Tevin Colemans out and I picked up Terron Ward the replacement just so he couldnt use him against me.

RBs are so valuable in a deep league. Having steady earners in those slots will make or break you. Back when we did 1 PPR you could get away with a bad running game. 1/2PPR though, no way.
Poor Sedai
Broncos placed RB C.J. Anderson (knee scope) on injured reserve.
He's undergoing arthroscopic surgery. He'll be a candidate to return in eight weeks, but obviously won't be a factor the rest of the fantasy season. He's free to drop in all re-draft formats. The Broncos will move forward with Devontae Booker as their workhorse, and Kapri Bibbs as their No. 2. Anderson has shown flashes of being a difference-making back every season, but has struggled with his health. It will be tough for the Broncos to rely on him as a clear No. 1 in 2017.
Oh snap! Both of Taters guys had great games tonight, this matchup could go either way now. :yup:

It was a good decision to pick up Booker a few weeks ago. I'm desperately in need of another strong RB to get me consistent points. I've had to rely on Elliot far too much.
OH NO!!! Talib is out for the Broncos, and I benched Tyrell Williams thinking he was gonna be covered by him! I played Jack Doyle instead

Me losing to Tater, and Yoda most likely losing to Mikey....this is gonna make a logjam at the top. aw snap!
Well, I may or may not pull this out against mikey tonight, but whether I do or not, this week's score is probably going to torpedo my chances of breaking that scoring record. Still should be well-positioned for one of the Byes, though.

Too good to be true.
Too good to be true.
:Daw!:D ;)
Very surprised Yoda got past Mikey this week
Yeah, same here.
The whole weekend was pretty hilarious: I was looking dead in both my leagues. Then, on Sunday night I stopped watching, and when I came back, a late TD by Bryant had put me up. The game went into OT and I had to sweat it out: I won by 0.24 points.
Then, on this league, same thing Monday night: figured I was done for, stopped watching, and when I came back Diggs had caught a late TD to put me just ahead again. Two likely losses flipped into two improbable wins by receiver TDs, on consecutive nights.
Anyway, my only loss in this league this year came when I scored 120 points, so I guess this evens things out, luck-wise. It'll be tough keeping it going this week against you, though, without Johnson.
So, it turns out, your loss was not the highest score in a loss; that was me, with 161.02 against LT in 2012 (she scored 163.98). But yours was up there:
Week 8
- TONGO, 147.90 points, (6th-highest losing score)
- spud and TONGO, 297.24 combined points (12th-highest combined score)
- LT, 0.72 victory over seanc (12th-closest in league history)
- Yoda, 78.70 points (12-lowest winning score)
- Yoda and mikey, 155.08 combined points (22nd-lowest combined score)
- Yoda, 2.32 victory over mikey (40th-closest in league history)
- Yoda, seven consecutive wins (tied for 3rd-longest streak)
-
Touched almost every part of the record book this week.
I do think I'm going to establish a cutoff for margin of victory, though: I've got like the top 50 entries there right now. I think I'll just remove the ones that aren't under two points to keep things manageable.
Just what I needed - players getting put on IR! Sweet!
.72, things are going horribly
.72, things are going horribly
That hurts. I got stung with another close loss, but whenever I start feeling bad, I remember what Petey went thru one season. I think the year after he had won the league it seemed every single game he lost by a close margin. Im not even exaggerating, it was surreal.
Jamaal Charles to the IR, sorry bout that Patrick.
Wonder who Yodas gonna have as his 2nd RB? Knile got fired.
Not feeling good at all with my matchup vs Yoda this week, or Week 10 either. Very nervous as my matchups this week are brutal, and Ive even more on a Bye Week 10.
Wonder who Yodas gonna have as his 2nd RB? Knile got fired.
Yeah, who knows. It's really weird: I'm almost never in a "throw someone out there and hope it works out" situation like this. But that's the flip side of dealing so much depth early (and then just happening to have a lot of Bye weeks lined up).
Got 2 RBs going against Yoda for Thursday Night Football, Devonta Freeman @ TB and Peyton Barber who is getting the start for Tampa.
Julio Jones having a great game vs the Bucs... Meanwhile my RBs are limping along like theyre in a potato sack race.
Atlanta scored 43 points on the Bucs, 43?!
I remember a day when that wasnt even a possibility, no matter who we were up against. Until we become a defense-first team again, we'll never really be back in the hunt. Monte Kiffen wept.
Well, the Thursday night game definitely gives me a fighting chance of extending the streak. Still pretty sure I'm the underdog, though. Best player in fantasy on bye, and some tough matchups.

I feel like more the underdog with Amari, Fitz, and Delanie all Questionable, plus Devonta & my RB2 under performing. That was disgusting how easily Julio Jones moved on us last night.
The last few years, the Questionable tag has meant very little. A few teams abuse it pretty blatantly. But I hope you're right. ;)

Whats up with Sparkle Motion? Did not set lineup. Six players on bye in starting lineup. Antonio Brown on the bench. I like to win but not cheaply like this. You know stuff like this could cost a team a playoff spot. I know this league is not for money but I still take it pretty seriously as im sure most of the owners do.
Sorry, that is pretty lame. This is bound to happen sometimes, but yeah, this is the second time in the last few weeks, so that's not good.
Hopefully it doesn't affect the outcome. I guess the nice part, such as it is, is it's pretty unlikely, given how shorthanded she would've been otherwise.
In a nail biter with Yoda. Ive a feeling its gonna come down to Monday Night Football, and Ill be rooting for the Bills to stop Jimmy Graham.
Ajayi didnt get 200 again, but 111 yds on the ground vs the Jets....
https://cdn.meme.am/instances/400x/44650679.jpg
Yeah, nice battle we got going. You have the edge at the moment, though.
Im expecting you to get 15 out of Jimmy Graham tomorrow night, so I need to score some TDs.
Really hope benching Denver @ Oakland, and playing Green Bay vs Indy doesnt haunt me. Both Denvers corner backs are out.
Get him Brees, get him! 30 fps so far with 13:13 left in the 4th qtr.
Drew Brees is my hero :)
No Drew Brees don't...
I'm up like a point. I think I'm gonna need a bit more margin than that with just Cooper and Graham left, so we'll see how these 4:00 games end.
One little ray of hope is that Cooper has an exceptionally tough matchup, but he's really good, and Graham's is tough, too, so it might not take much.
It'll be really surprising if that Walker TD doesn't mostly put it away, barring a late Harris score and/or Denver really shutting Cooper down.

Breathing a little easier after Delanies TD, but Denver is no joke, neither is Graham. Not comfortable yet.

My Amari Cooper vs Denver & 7.56 points Versus Yodas Jimmy Graham vs Buffalo
If both cornerbacks werent out for Denver Id be really sweating. Instead Im just nervous. ;)
Theyre stifling Amari! Stifling him! only 6 points in the 4th
Its gonna be a long scary game tomorrow night.......
Cmon Carr, try a 53 yard pass to Cooper. Oaklands winning 29-13, but those guys need the cushion. :yup:
Pretty modest total for Cooper, but Graham basically needs to match his best score of the season. Needs both a TD and a pretty good day besides. I'd bet against it, but plausible.
Would be in much better shape if I'd gone with either of the two defenses I was considering. Jets really let me done with that 1.

I thankfully benched Denver for Green Bay, those 4 points may have made the difference. Denvers not really Denver without their two starting cornerbacks.
Still nervous about tonight. Jimmy Grahams name alone makes me think 16.16 fps as very achievable.
Jimmy Grahams nabbed a TD, Yoda needs 6 points to beat me, and its the 2nd qtr with 9:58 remaining. Alot of game left to play.

Yoda robbed me for Jimmy Graham
And I finally broke my 4 game losing streak, off to win 3 more in a row now
Of course Sparkles lineup is full to face me this week
Losing to Yoda in week 9 hurt, I have to go on a winning streak now, or TONGOs goose is cooked.
Woohoo, winning streak still alive. Three more ties the record. To break it, I'll have to run the table in the regular season and finish 12-1, which hasn't ever happened.
I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna do it: I was really close to losing each of these last two weeks, and Stafford's on Bye this one (and Julio next week).
Yknow Id feel real confident about this weeks matchup but I cant... because its LTIzzy! She has always had the greatest luck in our leagues, not knocking her knowledge when I say that.
Record stuff:
Week 9
- LTIZZY, 28.70 points (lowest score ever)
- mikeython1 and LTIZZY, 118.70 combined points (3rd lowest ever)
- Yoda, 8th consecutive win (tied, 2nd longest streak ever)
- Pete, 5th consecutive win (tied, 16th longest streak ever)

Switching from Winston back to my in theory starting QB Palmer for the first time since week 6- which was Winston's bye. I have been very skeptical of his health and ability to make red zone plays lately, but looks like SF poses a good match up. Also starting JJ Nelson who I got from waivers, hopefully Arizona pays off

Palmers a better QB than Winston, this season. Hopefully he keeps improving, but the Bucs when they win are doing it with their running game. Its more consistent.
Damn! Denvers taking it to Drew Brees hard the first half, almost at halftime and hes at -1.76 fps
....and then the man comes back to lead the Saints to victory over Denver, altogether netting 27.14 fps :yup:
Drew Brees is the man.
LT is gonna whip my ass. I just know she'll blow me up with her Patriots tonight.
No....not even "the Picard" I feel will prevent this one. :nope: Damn. This is gonna hurt.
If me and Fabulous lose then Yoda & Petey will distance themselves from a big scrum 3rd-5th place, and its anyones playoff spot.

And just as I say that, Elliot gives me a tiny bit of breathing room. Still not confident of pulling out the win, though.
Yeah, that was nuts. You basically needed 40 points out of Elliot to have a chance...and he gave you exactly that.
Just need a decent game from Graham, though.
If I pull this out, my odds of breaking the win streak record are decent. If I don't, well, then both of my losses this year will have come with over 120 points. Whatareyougonnado.
Just need a decent game from Graham, though.

Ah well. I guess that's why win streaks are hard: eventually you run into some guy having the game of his life. Weird to think I'd have won if Elliot scored "only" 35 points.
Look out for JJ yall. He is alot better than his record indicates.
Oh and Yoda got himself a young star RB whose the Seahawks starter now I bet. Oh good for him!
Me vs Petey next week

Having a horrible week. Me and Pete are turning our matchup into the Toilet Bowl.

Record book stuffs:
Week 11
- Pete, 7th straight win (tied-3rd longest ever)
- raul beats jiraffe by 0.90 points (tied-17th closest matchup ever)
- LT had the top score of the week with 120.20. What's interesting about this? It's the lowest top score of the week since PW's 109 in week 9...of 2008! Second-lowest ever.
And Sedai mikey had a strong Monday night that kept his score (and his combined score with Spaulding) out of the ignominious side of the record books.
Also, I can break my 2014 points record if I average almost 150 points a week for the last two weeks, which is...yeah, pretty unlikely. As I said at the time, that 78 point total a few weeks back pretty much ended my hopes there.
The words Sedai and strong just don't compute this season! ;)
There is always next year!
Actually, my bad, that was mikey. I dunno why I keep confusing Silly Nannies and Little Machines.
And I just realized that nearly happened because he left two bye week players in. D'oh. C'mon, people! That one might actually effect the playoff race, with Spaulding right on the brink...
So, playoff scenarios. I usually do these before the last couple of weeks. The more involved post (if necessary) will come before next week, since there are still lots of variables, but here's a general overview:
- Pete and I have clinched playoff spots.
- I'm very likely getting one of the Byes. With just two games left, at worst we could have a three-way tie with 9 wins, but even then, I'm over 160 points ahead of Pete and Fabulous.
- Pete is probably getting the other Bye. The only way he won't is if he loses both remaining games, Fabulous wins both of his, and Fabulous roughly outscores him over both. That said, they play each other this week...
- After that, it gets tricky, but we have a clear cutoff: everyone over .500 is currently in line for a playoff spot, and everyone under isn't. Could be a lot of shifting between the three 6-5 teams, and the five (!) 5-6 teams.
- The 5-6 team most likely to sneak in is probably jiraffe's Los Pollos Hermanos. He has the highest score of any bubble team other than TONGO's, so if he wins both games he's almost definitely in, and he might even sneak in if he splits them.
- Most of the other 5-6 teams are significantly back in points, and probably need to win out.
Big matchups this week: donnie's 6-5 and plays jiraffe's 5-6 team. They could flip positions inside/outside the playoff bubble there. And TONGO and Spaulding play each other, both 6-5, and with TONGO's point total (2nd highest in the league), a win pretty much seals it for him, as he's not likely to lose any tiebreakers to the teams just below him. Only jiraffe is close.

Question, why does Detroits record suck, and Minnesotas doesnt? The Lions are supposed to be healthier.

That was the lineup I wanted to go with. Everyone had better match ups beside my defense. I dont see what changes would altered the outcome. If you are talking about Hightower I would never have started him over the running backs I have unless injury.
That post was in reference to last week (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/371134/matchup?week=11&mid1=4&mid2=9), when a couple of players on bye were in the lineup. I wouldn't question someone's decision-making as to which players should go in their lineup.

I really thought I had my lineup set. That is inexcusable on my part and I am sorry.
No worries. :) Just like to let people know. It can be easy to miss a week around the holidays, for sure.
Anyway, playoff scenario update, heading into the final week:
- The Empire becomes the third team to clinch a playoff spot. Three spots left.
- I've officially clinched a Bye. The other will go to either Fabulous or Pete. Pete gets it if he wins, Fabulous gets it if he wins, Pete loses, and Pete doesn't outscore him by 20.
- TONGO isn't officially in, but he's in. It's automatic if he wins, and even if loses, jiraffe is the only 6-6 team that would have a chance to win a points tiebreaker. Two spots left.
- Similarly, if jiraffe wins, he's almost certainly in the playoffs; the next 6-6 team is over 100 points back. He only misses out if he loses and BOTH 6-6 teams win. Let's say that probably doesn't happen. One spot left.
So who gets that last spot? Normally, this would be easier to narrow down, because we'd have a lot of these teams playing each other. But the two 6-6 teams aren't facing off, AND they aren't facing off against any of the four 5-7 teams! Still, we can probably rule them out, because the closest of them (spud's Discount Chiefs) needs both the teams above to lose, and to outscore them by a bit, and the ones below him would need some huge totals to go with those losses. It's not impossible, but they're all big long shots. But, very cool that 12 of the 14 teams haven't been officially eliminated yet.
Too Complicated. Make It Simple
Okay! Barring something insane, and ignoring seeding, we're probably just waiting to see which of these 6-6 teams takes the last playoff spot:
- Censored Clowns (Spaulding)
- Donnie Football (donniedarko)
Donnie's also back 24 points, so he probably needs to win and have Spaulding lose.
What's It Probably Gonna Be?
Most likely outcome is that the playoff seeding is the same as the current standings:
1. 11 Angry Men
2. Beantown Champs
3. The Empire
4. PlasticPads&IronMen
5. Los Pollos Hermanos
6. Censored Clowns
No record book entries last week, that I can see. No realistic chance at a new scoring record either (I'd need about 200 points this week). But I'm virtually guaranteed to be the top scoring team for the third consecutive year, which hasn't happened before. In fact, before last season it'd never even happened two years in a row.
JJ is looking scary (Hermanos), his running game isnt the only thing thats clicking. Eli "Patriots killer" Manning has almost gotten as much as Brees these last 4 weeks. Almost. ;) The rub is his WRs are stinky bad, and if any of his trio have a clunker he could be in trouble.
2nd highest point total in the league but the highest is Yodas. Not the hottest either right now as that would be JJ.
I gotta get er' dun' vs Sedai who would loooooove to break my playoff heart & hopes.... its a Boston thing ;)
It might work, Doug Martins average at best, Tyrell hurt his shoulder, Tyreek Hill is hot but who?!, and Amari Coopers tapered off cause Carr has a hurt throwing hand.
With Delanie on a Bye, and Jared Cook being capable of getting 1-20 points any given sunday....oh Im sorry I meant 1 OR 20 points, hes either hot or unseen....I hope the Little Machines dont pull an upset.

Thomas Rawls with a good game. I could really use him with the playoffs about to begin and Booker not impressing.
Unless Luck has a big night tonight, Fabulous might just barely snag the second bye from Pete.
The real drama, though, is for that last playoff spot: if not for tonight's game, we'd have a four-team pileup at 6-7 for the last spot. Spud's Discount Chiefs are done playing and already losing the points tiebreak, so that's that. Silly Nannies aren't done playing, but their point deficit is way too much to overcome. So it's still down to just Donnie's "Donnie Football" and Spaulding's "Censored Clowns," as expected.
How close is it? Well, both are projected to lose, but neither by much. They both need a better--but not way better--performance from their remaining players than they'd usually expect. Spaulding needs about 30 from Andrew Luck (which would also let Pete hang onto that bye). Donnie needs make up a 35+ point deficit (plus whatever Vinatieri gets) with T.Y. Hilton, Brandon Marshall, and Bilal Powell.
What's nuts about this is that Spaulding leads Donnie by just two points. Spaulding came in with the points edge but he's putting up a lower than usual total, and whether Donnie wins or not he could easily crack 120. If they both win, or both lose, the actual amount they put up tonight will be the difference. Complicating things further is that Luck, Spaulding's player, is throwing to Hilton, Donnie's player.
As I mentioned, both are projected to lose, but by how much? That could be the difference for that last spot. And if they do both lose, we'll have a sub .500 playoff team for just the second time in league history (Sleezy's Wyld Stallynz, 2012).
Huge start for Luck. If he does anything in the second half, Spaulding should win his matchup. That would deny Fabulous the second Bye, and means Donnie would have to win, too, to have a chance, and slightly outscore Spaulding tonight, to boot.
But with the Jets down big, Marshall could wrack up a lot of junk time points. Big advantage for Spaulding thanks to that first half, but not quite over.
As I posted that, Luck nearly threw his fourth TD, which would've done it. Instead, fumble and a touchback.
At this point the most likely way to a loss is the Colts getting up more and sitting Luck, but odds are pretty good he'll play at least a couple more drives, regardless, which should be enough.

Would've liked that bye. Oh well.
Well it was saying up till this morning Id be facing JJ my first playoff game, now its Spaulding. Ok then.
whew! ;) Seriously though, not as much this week, but JJs Hermanos have been putting some high scores up lately.
My Flex position has had a new revolving door installed. Tyrells right labrum is shot, but hes playing, Tyreeek is awsesome but gets 5 tasrgets at most a game, and Doug Martin is a ho-hum 10 point averager which will probably decrease with Simms return. Then theres Amari"Underappreciated" Cooper, and Carr has had a bad hand...and been favoring Crabtree heavily. Stupid Michael Crabtree....
Would've liked that bye. Oh well.
Yeah, it's a nice fallback. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't make a difference, but two years ago I was the top scoring team, finished 3rd anyway, and got bounced in a big first-round upset. So it does happen.

Definitely the best combined year I've had, across leagues: 11-2 in this one, 10-3 (with one week left) in the MoFo money league. Pretty good chance I'll end up being the #1 seed and the top scoring team in both leagues.
That comes with high expectations, though. I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't win either, and while it'd be kinda nuts to hope to win both, best teams or not, It's hard not to think about it given how well each regular season went. We shall see!
GAH! Flex agony first game of the playoffs. Dont know if I should bench Amari, Tyreek, or Tyrell. Tyreek & Tyrell, thats kinda like that Uma-Oprah bit Letterman did at the Oscars. Think Ill bench Amari, oy vey

After two footballs were found to be well below the Psi requirement during the Giants/Steelers game, the NFL has opened an investigation to determine the culpability of both Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. ;)
Not sure what this has mutated into in the rumor mill, but it sounds like the initial report was based on some bad info (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/giants/2016/12/11/giants-steelers-deflategate-accusation/95300628/):
After Fox Sports' Jay Glazer reported Sunday the New York Giants alerted the league that two balls used by the Pittsburgh Steelers last week were underinflated, the NFL said no such issue occurred.
"The officiating game ball procedures were followed and there were no chain of command issues," league spokesman Brian McCarthy. "All footballs were in compliance and no formal complaint was filed by the Giants with our office."
A person with knowledge of the team's actions confirmed to Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY Sports the Giants did not submit a formal complaint.
