In this italian film winner of the Academy Award we can see three stories played by Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren. In the first a woman is convicted for selling illegal cigarrettes and she must stay pregnant in order to avoid jail. The second it's about a rich woman and her lover driving through Rome and the final story tells the tale of a young novice who gets a crush with a prostitute.
Sadly, the film is not as good as others directed by Vittorio De Sicca. Instead of italian neo-realism, we get a light comedy that gets cheesy sometimes. The "exotic" locations are great, specially in the first part of the movie. I expected a little bit more coming from these actors and director but I guess you can't win each time. Watch it if you're interested in Italy or italian films.
