It many not be completely indigenous ( some of it's components are foreign made ) and it's range is limited to 400 km ,and it is not as capable as top class fighterjets like Eurofighter Typhoon or Rafale but the very fact that India has made a fighterjet itself is something . For making a fighterjet is more difficult than making ballistic missiles or outer space rockets , and marks the coming of age of a nation as an industrial power .
