The 'Identity Movement', which advocates that people be legally treated as whatever they "identify" as, even when this directly contrasts biological reality, was being discussed on the radio today, and I realized that, as this movement expands, it allows for the creation of a potentially horrifying consequence which would make for a great 'Outer Limits'-esque episode or a Hannibal Lecter movie, depending on how the pivotal scene was shot.

Currently, the 'Identity Movement' is concentrating on getting full legal recognition of men-who-identify-as-women as actual women, even if they are in no way biologically female, and full legal recognition of women-who-identify-as-men as actual men, even if they are not biologically male in any way. This movement has gone so far as to propose actual legal penalties in the City of New York to be levied against anyone who uses the wrong pronoun when addressing one of these people, even if that mistake is made by accident (these penalties have been proposed by the New York Commission on Human Rights and would make calling someone by a pronoun other then the one they currently identify as a form of 'harassment' with no requirement that the person inform their alleged 'harasser' of their preferred 'identity'/pronoun)

Prior to the emergence of the 'identity movement', such people were merely regarded as fetishists.

Even today, another group of people who 'identify' as something other then what they are biologically are also regarded a fetishists but it would be easy for them to use the precedent set by the "gender" aspect of 'identity movement' to secure similar legal recognition, with potentially disastrous results.

Specifically, the 'Furry' "movement(?)"/"fetish(?)" seeks to allow human beings to 'identify' as animals, including animals that are legal to hunt like the white-tail deer I've included below;

If/when 'furies' use the legal precedent set by the gender aspect of the 'identity movement' to secure full legal recognition for their 'new status' as part of another species, what would stop a would-be cannibal from hunting one of these "people" (who would be legally recognized as 'animals') and eating them, so long as the cannibal had a valid hunting license, properly registered bows or firearms, the 'furry' identified as an animal that was in-season, and they were on legal hunting lands????

After all, transgender people who are biologically male are demanding recognition as female, what's stopping a biologically human furry from demanding legal recognition as a deer...and if they are legally a 'deer', why can't they be hunted just like every other deer in the forest???

I heard something about that. Apparently you could get sued for A LOT of money. It's scary. Vote Trump.

Since the 'Hannibal Lecter' series of movies makes a point of incorporating fetishes, wouldn't this make a great plot for one of those movies, especially if the person hunting furies actually uses this defense to escape legal responsibility by securing a 'not guilty' verdict, instead of running, as Lecter usually does???
