Never it seems, so long as there's money to be made. (even tho GM is proving to be incredibly uneconomical, b4 even considering mass-objection and lack of markets, and it requires tax dollars to help it out.)

The latest f-up becoming obvious is that "Roundup", a monsanto-pushed, carcogenically-connected herbicide [designed to be used with "roundup-proof" "Bt" crops), actually ENCOURAGES a destructive mould!! But not to worry - some other idiots are working on a GM mould-killing crop. Hooray. We can combine it with the currently used crop and get EVEN MORE UNDESIRED EFFECTS. That's the point - when you meddle with the fundamentals of biology, without even vaguely knowing the repurcussions, your basically asking for huge amounts of trouble (and even the supposed benefits aren't working out - coz things aren't as simple as they seem!) - and then, even in England, where we're adopting a cautious approach along with Europe, they're still talking about RISK-ASSESSMENT of the UNKNOWN!! This is the worst side of science gone mad. Thinking we can assess how much we don't know!! They insert these "alien" genes randomly, not knowing the full purpose of the gene in it's original context, and think they can suddenly assess the repurcussions of this never-b4-tried combination???? They can't even predict its actions in its normal environment!!! DNA is the most over-hyped "key-to-the-universe" ever. Everything acts within context. Until this year whole sections of DNA were called "junk" DNA (just coz the stupid ****ers couldn't see any processes within it they understood!! ARghh! Now they realise it contains processes that can actually alter the "product" of the DNA that they thought they understood. Stupid stupid bastards!)

Crazy crazy people who think science can fix everything that's wrong with the world. Irresponsible idiots. Unrealistic fools. I could go on... ;) (vote on my GM thread - or read the some of the basic evidence for problems i've presented there - it's the tip of the iceberg tho believe me)

PS - i don't think there are any GM cows yet - it's more the GM feed we're giving them, which is considered unfit for human consumption, that's the prob. It can combine with the gut - that much we know. What comes after that is anyone's guess. All we know is "God" didn't intend it, and "nature" as a whole, if it has experimented with this combination of DNA before, rejected it. However,it's unlikely that squid genes found their way into tomatoes previously, or any other of the outlandish experiements being tried, and then "tested" on, well, you guys to be honest ;)
