You set a daily lineup in your chosen sport, mines Baseball, and its matched up against other peoples daily lineup. Usually big prizes for 1st place, but thats not the only position that pays out.

Why a thread for it? Simply because every day you can make a new lineup, and it can be fun to "talk shop" about :)

Heres what I put together for Mon 5/9/16

P Steven Matz
P Jon Lester - these two pitchers cost me a chunk, which is why the rest of my lineup looks waiverish
C Wilson Ramos
1B Mark Teixeira
2B Derek Dietrich
3B Martin Prado
SS Trevor Story
OF Rajai Davis
OF Michael Saunders
OF Steven Souza Jr

Your lineup can be changed/edited up till gametime. I entered that team above in a $3 league
Who knows? ;)

I thought about trying it briefly, but it seems too random for me, and I get my fix from the season-long stuff just fine.

Part of what kills dfl for me is the sense of impending doom. It just feels like it will get shut down sooner or later. I don't know how this differs from online poker in money transfer, but if similar it leads to money laundering aspects and government involvement.

Poker is partially skill based just like this. I think poker's variance may involve more luck and a slight evening of the field.

From what I've seen, every average joe is dead money in fantasy. If you are not versed in analytics and running some sort of projection programs, you have no chance. That's the best way I can explain it, my terminology is probably off.

Well, I cant count cards, but I bet its more complex than fantasy baseball. If you dont like baseball I doubt this would draw you, but if you do, hey its alot of fun and your wagers can be minimal. All sorts of sites give daily tips so its not like you have to lose money to learn.
