So looking to do a Speed Version of Survivor for those that are interested. The idea is that you do not have to invest a lot of time in it so its not so stressful or time consuming. Nothing against the regular games, that is part of the game and why it is so fun. But this can be fun too, just think of it as a "side scrolling" video game like Defender VS something like WOW.
Of course things would go fast hence the name "Speed Survivor", and it would be "Speed survivor 1" and not an addition to other Survivor games.
If I can get it going the schedule of things will be posted before the game starts and there will also be "surprise" challenges randomly posted. Times for things will be different every day to be fair to everyone but actual voting will take place during a set time period. No waiting on people for anything - when its scheduled its time to start. If you do not vote or are not here during a scheduled "event" then that's the way the ball crumbles, or is it the cookie bounces? If for any reason no one is on when something is scheduled I will wait 10 minutes and if by then no one is on that challenge is canceled.

We have plenty of time to decide and if I cant get enough people, I think 8 is a good minimum, I will declare myself a winner again and I am cool with that too. ;).

...and see he hasnt changed his tune from wanting to draw attention to himself and commiting nothing whatsoever to anything.
Oh and when you asked me to help you get players in your farse of a game Sexy, and then you tried to make it look like I was making you start a Survivor game, thats why youre on Ignore User. Maybe other forum members will wise up to how your need for attention has no entertainment value whatsoever anymore, and do likewise.
Somebody let me know if he joins. Even if hes in the game Ill keep him on Ignore User. It wont even be considered a handicap :nope:

You Can't Quit.
Even if you say you quit you are still in the game until you are voted out.
Once you say you want to play, you have to play, even if you never show up.
So those who said they are in the game already are IN THE GAME, like it or not- no backing out now.
2nd rule:
Once you are voted out you may not post in thread (until game is over) other than to post one goodbye comment - AT ALL for any reason.
Once that "goodbye' post is made you must agree not to post anything else in the game thread.
Of course theoretically you can post, I can't stop you - but if you do you are not allowed to play in any future "Speed Survivor games - EVER!!.
3rd rule:
If you already joined and don't like these rules too bad, - see rule 1.
4th rule:
IF there is ever a tie when voting all players receiving the most votes are eliminated. (This does not apply for the winning vote)
Its speed survivor we don't have time for duels and crap like that.
If a "vote" removes all players then the person that received the most total votes during the course of the game wins that round. Yep - don't like it - try to quit.
5th rule:
There may and probably will be more rules, but they will be universally fair.

Yes, well, thanks for trying to get people to participate in the failed Survivor 666. Your efforts were appreciated. I don't know what to say. You didn't force me to make that thread, but I did feel some pressure. I don't think it was meant to be. I think there's a reason why people are now doing a Speed Survivor -- people are a little tired of the whole MoFo Survivor deal. I was getting tired of you. I think you're a stressful, dramatic person and this thing of telling everybody how I'm on your ignore list only proves that, I think. I do wish you'd take me off and we could be friendly again.

I got cold feet. Yes. But it was a myriad of reasons why I decided not to do that game. And it's not really worth fighting about. You shouldn't feel victimized. Nobody thinks you're to blame. They know how I am. It wasn't the first time I cancelled a game.

Well we got 5 with Nope being drug in kicking and screaming ;)
It would be funny if since its only for one week if EVERY SINGLE PERSON that ever played a Survivor game joined :laugh: For 7th to hold to his one week timeline we'd have to eliminate 3 at a time at tribal council. Anyway that aint gonna happen.
In the next week we should get a full boat. Hell, maybe Speed Survivor is the way to go, I dont know, but I think itll be fun finding out. :)

In a sense, it could move so fast that people wont get emotionally invested in it, to the bad. If theres constant action, and it goes in a forward direction no matter what then people wont have time to worry or fret ;)

Lemme say something -- and this isn't meant to be rude or anything.
The enthusiasm you show for MoFo Survivor... this was one reason why you were bugging me a little when I was trying to do Survivor 666.... your eagerness to get it going again.... I don't know. It made it more stressful to me.
I see this game as challenging and tiring. You're always super excited to play it. Even though it's a nasty game. The two things aren't mixing right with me. Happiness and being excited for this exhausting game. I don't know. Maybe you should be more unexcited. You should groan more. You should HATE the fact that another one is coming. People should be dreading it. They shouldn't be jumping up and down, dancing, that kind of thing.

Usually this starts with 2 tribes, but that depends how many people we get. Usually there are Reward Challenges and Immunity Challenges, we might not have Reward Challenges, again cause of how many people we get, and itll only be for 1 week.
So in a nutshell - After every Immunity Challenge there is a tribal council where someone is voted out, except for the person that won Individual Immunity. This process continues until there are only 2 left, and all those that were voted out decides who won.

Godoggo PM'd me back and said she was in. The one week time limit seems appealing so far.
Looking good so far and I promise to post more info soon, probably thursday or friday. In the meantime those that are playing can go ahead and choose their characters. Anything is fair game and please include a bio with your character - it can be brief if you want. Also pick a character avatar - if you don't pick one I will get one for you, but your bio and avatar MUST be made by you if you want to be eligible for the first reward..
The game will start with a reward for the best character bio and avatar based on votes from other players - you will not be able to vote for yourself and you must vote for someone. Please do not vote until the game starts which will be at 12:00 am CST Monday, you must have your characters and info posted by this date. Please post them in the thread here. You cannot change it once you have posted so make sure you like it. I will tally these votes which are due by 5:00 pm Monday. If you do not vote for someone you will lose your ability to vote in the first elimination challenge so involvement is suggested.
I will also post the game schedule soon but I do want input n best times for everyone - once I make the schedule I am sticking to it.

Its to help the hype, and its only for a week. On the flipside of that I dont like to change my av, but if its just for a week, why not?
I wish there was more excitment for this. People were psyched to get into your game, but the Speed one isnt growing as fast as Id like. TONGO want now! ;)

The Avatar you make is for the character NOT the movie forms avatar you have - of course you can use it as both if you wish, but you can change your MF avatar all you want. I am talking an avatar picture to use for the first reward challenge within the game thread. Hope that helps explain things. This will be streamlined compared to other Survivors because itll start and finish in one week.
Normally there are 2 tribes, but that depends how many people we get. There are Reward Challenges for a power/prize, and then immunity challenges. After every immunity challenge you go to tribal council where one person is voted out, except for whoever won immuniuty.
This process continues until there are 2 left and all those voted out (the jury) determine a winner. Does that help?

I do not mind if you all change characters or avatars or whatever -- the only thing you cannot change is the character and bio for the reward challenge once it is posted. I was only trying to keep people from submitting multiple entries to the challenge. Sorry if I made that a little confusing.

It would be everyone PMing each other just trying to stay in the game. Manipulation and all of that. There would be times everyone would have to vote someone out and that's all we'd do.

You just needed to change the name and it would have worked. Ive been tinkering with a Deadwood theme, and Im 99% sure it wont be a Survivor game. Ill make it something like it, but different enough to where its not the same. Its really good to try and get creative from the mold to advance it in this internet forum way of playing, and keeps it fresh. You gotta have a balance though, not everyone enjoys just the role playing aspect of it.

My colleagues so far consist of a vampire and a masked madman in red underwear with guitar. Between one trying to bite me and the other playing his music all night Im afraid this will ruin my sleep patterns.
Well its looking like a 7 person Survivor so far. :indifferent:
I am cool with 7 or however many we get.Anything less than 8 will start off with only one tribe, but I can make it work. Keep a look out for the Game thread to be posted soon and an immunity challenge be included with it.
Remember this is not like other games we have played - it is meant to move fast and although still competitive you do not need to invest a whole lot of time in playing in order to go far.
You all will run the flow of the game and the creativity of what you do. I will just basically post challenges and tribals and such and keep it on track.
Remember to post your character picture and bio in this thread if you want to be voted for in the first reward challenge AND if you want to have a vote in the first tribal. I will be PMing reminders over the weekend as well.
As a tease I will tell you that the first immunity challenge will be called "Ransom Note Plot". I will post a "ransom note" style clue with letters cut out from different movie posters - your mission will be to identify as many movies as you can as well as guess the movie from the clue on the note. Each letter will be worth 1 point and if you guess the movie that is worth 5 points. The person with the highest point total will win.

Crappy? I think it depends on the 8. In all the Survivors weve played theres less than 8 people always responsible for 99% of the thread involvement, and this isnt a normal Survivor that can take a month. For a week long game 8 is doable, mathamatically speaking

I mean I can't make you play and would not want to try if you really do not want too - but you are on the rolls and can vote or not and participate or not as you like.
My motivation comes and goes too when it comes to things like this and that's why I wanted to make a fast game where there really is not a whole lot of effort needed. I am under the belief though that if it is not fun or you do not think it will be fun then there is no reason to do it. This applies to everything when it comes to my social life.
So those playing try to have fun if you can.

Thanks much to those that posted their info so far - Ihope you had fun doing it and remember it can be brief or otherwise. "FUN" is what I want to promote in this game - granted Marquis de Sade had "fun" - its all in the wrist I heard... ;)
Please remember that I am sticking to deadlines, not because I am trying to be a jerk - but the idea is "Speed" so nothing personal oif you do not get your stuff in on time.. The good news is that even if you do not you can still win or move forward. it is yourfellow players that decide your fate - not me. or I should say Ming.
