It's still confusing for me because I mentally connect people with their avatars, so there are a few people that I know are the opposite of their avatars, but I just can't seem to shake the feeling that they're the same as their avatars.

It's even worse with the people who constantly change their avatars. I have to re-figure out who those people are all the time.

Yeah, I'm trying to get used to it. I've learned to connect some people to one specific avatar, so when they change their avatar, I can remember them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. :shrug:

And I do the same thing, I attach avatars to users, so I struggle a bit to adapt when people decide to switch too.

I prefer mystery.

If people don't know your gender, race, ethnicity, etc, then they're less inclined/able to treat you differently.

And most people do, however subtly.

Ultimately, none of those things matter because they only inform what you are, not who you are.

I liked it a lot too. It was my first time seeing anything Gatsby and I never read the book, that could make a difference.
