Just watched this pilot for a CBS comedy about a crazy local street magician played by Emmy winner Jane Lynch (Glee), who it is revealed is actually a guardian angel for a single doctor named Allison (Maggie Lawson) who Amy the Angel reveals that her fiancee (David Denman) is cheating on her. The show is about as predictable as they come, but Lynch proves she can play a likable character even if her quirkiness is shoved down our throats (an angel who drinks?) and Lynch definitely has the chops to carry a sitcom but there has to be a lot more going on here than Lynch for this show to have any staying power.

Wow. That sounds truly awful. Jane Lynch. A street magician. A guardian angel. All in a sitcom? Nope. Can't see it.

I really don't see it finishing out the season.

I watched the first episode and thought it was so bad that I didn't even bother watching the second episode.

Just finished episode two and it was even less amusing as the pilot...I always try to give new shows at least three episodes before giving up (OK, I gave up on Limitless after the pilot), but I'm going to give this show one more episode before giving up completely. This hurts a little because I like Jane Lynch, but this show isn't funny, then again I don't know if it's supposed to be, if it's not, it's not serious enough to be a drama.
