Maybe in fifty years, we'll have a medical treatment against alzheimer.

I assume that's gone now since you arrived at Heaven? What if I'm not quite dead yet? What if it's just a near death experience and I'm simply here momentarily but will soon go back to Earth?

I wouldn't know... I'm not God. I don't know if it's your time yet or not. Go ask Him.
Okay, but I have a strange feeling he'll tell me this isn't really heaven. :p

On my way here I saw Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep on a bus! Can't stay for long... I'm on my way to a meeting with Rip Torn and Lee Grant.

Last night my wife and I had hot chocolate and played a board game. That's close enough for me, for now.

What board game? I love board games. Proper ones, that is. Not the fantasy things with cards and whatnot.

Burgle Bros. (http://www.burglebros.com/) I actually met the creator at PAX Prime in September (he's working on a possible SpyParty board game and wanted the opinion of the SpyParty diehards. Executive summary: he's doing an awesome job). I asked him about some of his other games and checked them out when I got home, and this one looked like a lot of fun. You play with the other players as members of a group of thieves trying to steal things.

We really liked it: there are lots of systems that interact with one another in interesting ways, and the 60s spy movie aesthetic works great. The box itself is like a little piece of art in that it looks like a skyscraper, so it looks cool on the shelf:

It's not the most accessible game in the world at first, but after a couple of turns you get the hang of most of it, and it's actually really impressive how well the canonical heist stuff is married to the actual gameplay (for example, if you find the loot in a safe and it turns out to be a painting, that stops you from moving through narrow passageways while trying to escape with it).

I suspect we'll like it a lot more when we play with 3-4 people, too. Highly recommended so far.

It's a little pricier (this is basically just a guy making board games on his own), but you can really feel the love put into making this game. This guy seems to really love game design. So many cool little mechanics, lots of thought, great art style, and the tiles used for rooms and such are nice and thick feeling. And it's kinda neat to be playing a game together rather than against people.

Anyway, here's a video of people playing:

There are others, but the one I saw a few months ago was of an older (and less polished-looking) version.

Giving serious thought to buying the high rise add-on (https://fowers-games.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/high-rise-tower-for-burgle-bros) to simulate actual floors of the building.

"Hell in a Thread" is coming next, if Heaven gets to be pretty popular.
