I remember back in the early noughties when he was playing in Knebworth (this was when I was back in the UK)... I needed to get to somewhere in Hertfordshire on work, and public transport was over-run. He was insanely popular back then. Has fallen somewhat off the radar since.

He was offered a huge contract soon after with a view to breaking the US, he never did though.

Yeah, I think that was around 1999, they made a documentary about it. And I think the only song of his that gained much recognition in the U.S. was 'Angels' in 1997.
