"Linger" is all around great song and piece of music. Violins are incredible in it.

1993 was the year I started following music charts. Now looking at the Top 10, all 10 songs are great for me.






I remember watching Madonna's "Rain" on TV. It is very ingrained in me.


Meat Loaf "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" was not just a huge hit in 1993, it continued to be popular on music channels even decade later. The singing is so dramatic and heart wrenching. There are not many songs like that.


Whitney Houston sings "I Have Nothing" incredibly.


Take That "Pray" has unique melody, I love.


Gabrielle's "Dreams" is another unique song.


Freddie Mercury's "Living on My Own" was huge in Europe. To me it's one of the best Freddie has done.


Culture Beat "Mr. Vain" is one of those rare techno- pop songs that people dance to even today.


Haddaway "What is Love"- wow. The music and words are iconic. "What is love, baby don't hurt me"


To me 4 Non Blondes "What's Up?" represents 1993.


The Cranberries "Linger" is as close to perfect as song can get.
