Just finished watching the pilot for this expensive hour-long drama on FOX. TV Medical examiners have come a long way since Quincy and this show is proof positive of that. Morris Chestnut lights up the screen as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, a cocky but brilliant medical examiner with his own health issues who finds himself hooked up with a widowed police detective (Jaina Lee Ortiz) on a murder case that came from Rosewood's mother (Lorraine Toussaint). The show is great to look at, as are the stars and there is definitely a viable chemistry between the two, but I hope the writers don't make the mistake of hooking up these two romantically because it will be the death of the show, but if they keep it strictly business between the leads, beef up the roles of Toussaint and Gabrielle Dennis as Rosewood's lesbian sister/assistant, we might have something here.
