John Stamos' onscreen charisma is really put to the test in this new FOX sitcom. Stamos plays a restaurant owner and perpetual ladies man still adjusting to the fact that he has a son who has a daughter. This show really doesn't offer much other than Stamos and his reputation as a television star and your enjoying this show will absolutely be dependent on your love of John Stamos because the show really has little else to offer...the supporting cast is nothing to write home about (Paget Brewster did earn a few chuckes as Stamos' ex-wife) and neither is the writing, but if you love John Stamos, you'll probably like this.

We watched the first episode of "Grandfathered", and it was okay, but it's another show that I don't expect to last very long. But I'm going to continue watching this for a while and give it a chance, mostly for John Stamos and Paget Brewster.

I will watch at least one more episode and it appears like Paget Brewster's role is going to be kind of limited and I'm not a John Stamos freak, I don't hate him, but I don't know if I love him enough to stick with this show.

I'm not a John Stamos freak either. I liked him in "Full House", but I can't even remember seeing him in anything else. I just think he's basically a likeable guy, and that makes it easy to watch his show.

I hope Paget Brewster's role is at least big enough to make an impact in each episode. She's definitely one of the highlights of the show.

Extremely mediocre show.

So I suspect it will last long.

I've watched three episodes now and I still haven't figured out what exactly what it is about the show that's not working. One problem is that Josh Peck, the actor who plays Stamos' son, is really bad and I don't buy the Christina Milian character actually having a one night stand with this guy, making the premise of the show problematic. I do buy Stamos and Paget Brewster as having had a one night stand 20 odd years ago and their relationship keeps me tuning in, though I don't know for how long.

Just finished episode 19 and I think I figured out what it is about this show that's just not working for me...it';s Christina Milian...she's REALLY annoying.

I had almost forgotten that this show was still on hiatus since Christmas but its return with episode 20 was with a vengeance...this episode had flashes of brilliance, some surprisingly meaty writing that required attention...a lot happened here and the best part was a flashback between Jimmy and his estranged father (played by the amazing Paul Sorvino). The bit of Catherine (Regina Hall) trying to tell Jimmy she loves him and continually being interrupted is something we've seen a million times, but the scenes between Stamos and Sorvino made the whole 22 minutes worth it.

Jimmy and Paget Brewster getting back together? Not feeling it at all.
