The X-Files Appreciation Thread

With the revival airing this January 24th (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=40403), and the Blu-Ray release of all the seasons (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/092515_1545) (1-9) supposedly hitting shelves the end of this year, I figure why not make a thread dedicated to it.

So without further ado, what are your favorite episodes and or favorite season? Favorite characters? Do you own any cool collectibles? Please discuss and post about the greatest show on television.

Few of my favorite episodes are The Unnatural and Redux parts 1and 2. Although I do enjoy all of them. My favorite character on the show is Krycek. I am a huge dedicated X-Phile. I can go on and on about the show. I just love it. :)

I went through the whole show and both movies last year, so of course I liked it. The only merchandise I own is a black-and-white "I WANT TO BELIEVE" T-shirt. I'd say that "Triangle" might be my favourite episode, but I'd need to look at episode lists and summaries so I can remember which ones are which.

Triangle is cool too. I'm half way through watching the entire series. I am doing the 201 days of The X-Files. I should be into season 5 in a week or so.

I'm slowly rewatching the show right now, i posted my thoughts on "Ice" and "Fire" from Season one in the Television Tab. It would make more sense posting them here now that i know fans of the show will see and discuss them.

Ice

Been rewatching X-Files over the last few months at a glacial pace, basically watching one when i'm in the mood. I rewatched Ice from Season 1 last night, man such a great episode haven't watched it since i was 15 or something so i forgot exactly how it plays out. It of course is alot like The Thing but having seen this first it almost feels like i'm revisiting the original even though i know that isn't the case.

The X Files is one of my absolute favourite shows but this really reminded me of how inconsistent the characterisation is, Mulder acting weird is of course to give the story more suspense in that he may be infected and they find the cure minutes later, imo the twist of Mulder telling the truth while obvious was a bad decision because it made his reactions unbelievable as Mulder. Anyone else would be completely losing their minds and i usually like seeing Mulder acting this way when it is well structured, i felt this was just a way to introduce an obvious i can see that coming from miles away twist to it.

Fire

Watched Fire on my X Files rewatch last night. Not a great episode in any way but Mark Sheppard is so unintentionally hilarious. I also like how they added something that paralyzes Mulder with fear, brings something more to his character seeing him like that was really needed in the first season.

Also I'm watching "Max" (4x18) today. The next episode to watch in the 201 Days of the X-Files. :)
