Recently watched this ceremony and what I liked about this ceremony this year, in addition to some wickedly funny material by first time host Andy Samberg, was a little more spreading of the wealth per se, among the winners and the fact that a lot of the winners were people who have been toiling in this business practically unrecognizable for decades and finally getting some recognition. It was so unbelievable cool seeing people like Jeffrey Tambor, Frances McDormand, and especially Regina King receive Emmys. Yes, I know Frances McDorman already has an Oscar, but it didn't make her a household name and neither will her Emmy, but at least television audiences are getting exposed to the work of these extremely talented people.
