WWE fans I need your help. I'm being quizmaster at the end of Sept for a monthly quiz we run at the local community centre. The team that comes last in the previous quiz chooses a subject for one of the rounds. Our son and quite a few of his mates have started coming to the quiz, and it was one of these teams that came last and have chosen WWE as a round.
About half the teams are in their 30s and quite a few of the other teams are a fair bit older. It seems to me that either you know and love WWE or you next to nothing about it. Which means if I pitch the questions too easy , the younger ones will get 10/10 and the older ones still won't know any. Its not much fun when the questions are too easy so I want to pitch some hard ones in there. This is where you come in. I was around WWE which my sons loved but looking at quiz questions on the net I realise I don't know what's difficult and what's not.
Can you help me with decent interesting questions? And answers! They can be old or new WWE as I know lots of them still watch it.

Which dashingly handsome (and baldy) MoFo once saw Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy in the village chippy behaving like they were the best of friends, shattering his illusions that wrestling was real?
That's all the help I can be, kidder. :)

Christine what about stuff like who was the first WWE Champion (Buddy Rogers), who held the Intercontinental Title the longest (Honky Tonk Man) or who won the first Royal Rumble (Hacksaw Jim Duggan)? Not sure if those are the kind questions you are looking for.

Cool! Thanks Teeter :)
How about some questions that involve more of a pop culture element to them? That way, the people who have no clue about WWE may still have a chance to know the answer as it may have made it into the public consciousness.
You could maybe include a few questions from the following -

From what I remember (and we're talking mid-80s here so I was roughly -6) there were more than Haystacks & Big Daddy in there but I didn't recognise them. Fit Finlay was probably one of them considering the location.
They all eventually got into a minibus and headed off towards Fermanagh. It's a job, I suppose. ;)

Very nice JayDee, thank you! It did cross my mind to link WWE with films and I'd done a couple of questions, one about The Longest Yard and the one about Roddy Piper being in They Live. Linking them with other media is a good idea :)
I do have a clash of generations in this quiz, the older ones have murmurings if it's not all old school general knowledge/history/geography, but then again there's lots of younger generations coming up to take part , and as that's what we need to keep the club going, we need to appeal to them too. But we still have to keep the old fellers (mostly fellers) as they're the ones that come up and have a pint every night, so they're the backbone. So on that basis when it's my turn to be quizmaster I do go a bit off piste and have some more fun as well as doing the usual normal rounds. I've done lots of music ones, compiling bits of songs and themes. I've done one where they had a plate of different kinds of crisps and they had to guess the flavours. Done an unusual vegetable round where they had bits of veg to taste.
You're welcome Christine. Thought of a few others as well, including questions that tie in other interests and knowledge as well as film. Got one that touches on the Olympics, politics, children's TV and music -
Which 1996 Olympic gold medallist would later join the WWE and go on to win the WWE title six times? (Kurt Angle)
Name the former WWF wrestler and actor who in 1999 was elected to serve as the Governor of Minnesota. (Jesse 'The Body' Ventura)
In the mid 1980s, CBS aired a Saturday morning cartoon that focused on the animated adventures of popular WWF stars of the time. What was it called? (Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling)
Iconic WWF manger, Captain Lou Albano, featured as her father in the music video for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". Hulk Hogan accompanied her to the Grammy Awards as her bodyguard. She acted as manager for Wendi Richter at the first ever Wrestlemania. Who is this pop music legend? (Cyndi Lauper)
Which former WWF champion starred in Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man film as Bonesaw McGraw? ('Macho Man' Randy Savage)
Andre the Giant starred as Fezzig in which classic fantasy film? (The Princess Bride)

Who is the wrestler that has the finishing move called "Sister Abigail" (Bray Wyatt)
Before it was known as the World Wrestling Federation, what was the company known as? (World Wide Wrestling Federation - WWWF)

Just a massive thank you to everyone for giving me all these questions, I couldn't have judged the difficulty level without having some fans participation. I've done the round now and will let you know how it goes. I'm sure there's a couple of lads there who might get 10/10 but let's wait and see!
