I wanted to start a thread where members could bring us up-to-date about things going on in their lives. Like, what project is Silver Bullet working on, or how is Sir Tooses' new house? I think Aniko just got back from somewhere...eh Annie?

Whomever responds, please bring us up-to-date as to what you have been doing.

Me?

Well, I'm seriously thinking about going back to school. I like writing and I'll never give that up, but I have always had this dream about working with animals. I want to go back to school and get a veterinary technician's license. I'm 35, and a little scared about starting my life over, but what the heck, I've done alot of things that I'm proud of in life so why not go back to school and follow another passion of mine: working with animals.
I'll miss the newsroom, but not the stress.

Next?

I have been celebrating United's title win and now wait patiently for the Arse to screw up against Southampton in the FA Cup final.

i recently severed a 1 1/2 year romantic relationship and felt really bad at the time, unsure whether its what i should do...but dammnit, i just wasn't happy, and hadn't been for quite some time

funny you should bring this thread up today, cause at lunchtime, on a beautiful sunny winters day like it was today in Sydney, i was sitting in the park and thought to myself i'm glad i offloaded him....i know that sounds callous, but he just kept dragging me down mentally and spiritually.....

2 months ago, i was a broken woman....today, i'm happy, healthy (mentally) and choc full of smiles, ready to take on anything once again

i feel gooooood :yup: :D ;) :)

Well, i am finishing up my first degree in Accounting, and i plan to continue my education. But with the states' budget cuts, i may not be able to afford that. (So far the state has paid for all my education)

Shouts go out to r66 (don't be afraid to go back to school, we had an 80 year old woman go back to school last semester)

and to n7, though that severing was tough, i know what you are going through, and life does get better.

I have made some wonderful friends on this thread and i am glad to have the time to spend here.

I usually post any relevant info in the hamster thread. But here's a snippet.

The List of I's

I've been with my girlfriend for 5 1/2 years now and it's still going strong. I'm just finishing uni now so I'll have a degree soon. I'm trying to get a band together.

I can sympathize. I have been a teacher for the last five years and now I'm in the process of getting into law enforcement. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike teaching but I've always wanted to do something more exciting, so I'll be starting over as well. I realized that you have to do something your gonna really enjoy or its just not worth it.

I was recently discharged from the navy after falling and injuring myself on a hill. Now my fiance and I are planning our wedding while i tend to my wounds lol. We have the date set for May 22, 2004 at Sherando Lake in Virginia...not too far from my house lol. Went to see X-Men 2 last night and saw that Matrix: Reloaded will be having a midnight showing the night before it comes out so I'm planning on going to go see that too! well that's up to date for now
