View Full Version : Losing Weight with SUBWAY!

Wonder if Jared will lose as much weight on a prison diet as he did eating at Subway?
But seriously... what's wrong with people?
Why not just engage in self-gratification? It's legal, it doesn't hurt anybody, it's free, it's normal, some doctors even say it's healthy.
Okay, so if that's not enough, why not just go out and hire an adult "professional"? It's risky, if found out it could damage your reputation, you could catch a disease, but still?
Why... if a guy is interested in children... why go that route (whether it's photos or whatever) knowing the penalties? And those aren't just legal penalties, but what happens to your reputation - you will NEVER live that down. You will NEVER have a normal life again, anywhere. You have to register. When you move you have to go inform your neighbors that you are a predator. And we won't even mention what happens to such people in prison.
So why? If someone has such inclinations, why would they act on them knowing not JUST what their actions would do to their victims, but knowing what might happen to them (which is far worse than anything people can imagine... and for what? A few moments of engaging in a perversion?)
Why act on a compulsion? Because it's a compulsion.
Your argument is akin to teaching teenagers abstinence only sex ed.
Also no one does anything like that thinking they will get caught. They think they'll get away with it.
I did a 20 minute interview with a reporter this morning.
I guy that I knew got sentenced to 150 years for raping 5 people. There is a much longer list of victims but most of his photographs didn't show their faces and it's not something people typically want to come forward about.
much worse than what jared did.. jared looked at some photographs. and he paid a 'professional' that just happened to be underage. he wasn't going around raping people. Not condoning jared's actions at all.. people who download child porn and creating a market for it and they deserve what they get.

I love how in America they rarely sentence somebody to "life in prison", but they often give like 300 years imprisonment. Just imagine a judge and the accused:
Judge: Well, no life in prison, for you, sir!
Accused: :)
Judge: You will get out after 200 years!
Accused: ;(

Why don't they think they'll get caught?
People get caught all the time. Did they never see "To Catch a Predator"?
I have compulsions. We all have compulsions. I don't act on them because if I did I'd probably go to jail. I'd like some money, but I don't go into a bank and point a gun a someone. I want food, but I don't shoplift. I'd like sex, but I would never rape someone. I get mad when someone cuts me off on the highway, but I don't go bash their head in with a crowbar.
And I don't NOT do these things ONLY because I don't want to risk consequences, I don't do them because I cannot and will not harm anyone else to achieve some sort of gratification for myself.
A lot of people have fetishes, but if a fetish is illegal, why are most people able to find other outlets rather than break the law by harming others and risking their own freedom? And what is it with pedophiles? Are they all out of control and unable to restrain themselves from acting on their compulsions... or are there a lot more of them walking around who don't act because they don't want to risk being caught and having their lives destroyed?
And are there any pedophiles who won't act on their compulsion for the simple reason that they know such actions would damage a child's life?

Last I'd heard of the story they had never found anything on Jared; other than him hiring a prostitute who was of legal age of consent in his state. Apparently now he's been busted
I'm sad that he did it because the commercials had nostalgic value for me and now they'll go down in infamy.
As far as your question about "why" people would do it, it's best not to apply reason to human actions because people aren't rational creates, they're emotional creatures deep down. This is the same reason that people use drugs or become alcoholics - destroying their health and wasting tons of money for a few hours' high.

These predators don't care about their victims. They have no empathy and no remorse. Some of them probably enjoy the fact that they are putting their victims through physical and mental torture.
Why don't they think they'll get caught?
People get caught all the time. Did they never see "To Catch a Predator"?
Truth of the matter is in real life, most criminals don't get caught. That only happens on TV. They never show the countless ones who got away with the crimes in shows like "Predator" and "Cops".
A lot of predators likely have antisocial personalities and actually enjoy the risk and the adrenaline rush associated with it.
I'm not a psychiatrist, but from what I've read people enjoy things like that mainly because risk or deviation involved.
This is the only reason I can think of someone like, Bill Cosby for example going out of his way to rape women when if he just wanted sex he could've hired prostitutes with his millions. Part of the "thrill" is in the dangerous act itself, or in the feeling of power or control it gives the perp.
Judging by what you've just written, I'd have to say that you don't understand what a compulsion is. You're confusing it with a whim or a desire. A compulsion is something much stronger. By definition a compulsion is irresistible. I think that people can fight compulsions but it is very difficult, such as quitting a heroin habit.
Would you say your desire to rob a bank is as strong as a junkies desire to get their next heroin fix?
And what is it with pedophiles? Are they all out of control and unable to restrain themselves from acting on their compulsions... or are there a lot more of them walking around who don't act because they don't want to risk being caught and having their lives destroyed?
And are there any pedophiles who won't act on their compulsion for the simple reason that they know such actions would damage a child's life?
I think a lot of pedophiles suffer from cognitive dissonance.
It is an internal struggle that they fight every day.
I don't know if any studies have been done on child porn and if it lessens the compulsion to act on it or not.
I have heard that having access to pornography reduces the number of general sex crimes committed within a population. That would be an interesting although controversial finding if it were true regarding child pornography. Do you let them have access to it if it means that you save hundreds of kids from the abuse. Probably would never happen in america.
Would you say your desire to rob a bank is as strong as a junkies desire to get their next heroin fix?
Not sure that those two are comparable since heroin is a physical dependency - a desire to molest a child is more akin to a "whim" or a desire motivated by a love of risk or control over the victim.
a desire to molest a child is more akin to a "whim"
I don't think there is anything whimsical about molesting a child.

Things that always get me: don't people realize that when they become a celebrity or public figure they are under closer scrutiny?
Like the Duggars.... if you have those kinds of skeletons in your closet, why would you then put your family in the spotlight and open your family's private life to the public?
And with Jared... achieving celebrity status means you lose a level of privacy. Unlike an average shmo who no one knows they're alive, there's nothing you can do (illegal, that is) that someone won't know about, tell about or somehow (intentionally or accidentally) expose to the world. I mean, if you want to walk around in your underwear, people are going to find out... but so what? But the same thing goes for if you're going to buy and sell child porn - people are going to find out! Unlike adultery, having a liaison with an intern in the Oval Office, or engaging in prostitution, this is the kind of thing you cannot ever recover from.
I don't think there is anything whimsical about molesting a child.
Comparing it to a physical addiction to a substance doesn't fly with me though.
From what I've read the desire along with other dangerous fetishes is more of a symptom of psychological dysfunction. Basically all paraphilias involve trying to achieve sexual arousal through illegal or destructive actions.
So the desire is motivated more by a lust for danger or control over the other person than anything else. And people with antisocial personalities can do very destructive things on a whim - just like some people commit murder on a whim, or just for the "thrill" of it.

Not sure on that one, maybe all the money and fame can go to your head and make you feel that you're invincible.
And from what I recall the only reason Jared was caught is because a colleague of his was busted for child porn earlier, and ratted Jared out - possibly as part of a plea deal.
A compulsion is not defined by it's origin

It's kind of a vicious circle since the material that might prevent such crimes is illegal to make and distribute itself - to make it would involve victimizing children.
Unless, of course, we consider the advent of virtual material (a controversial form of porn that uses CGI and doesn't involve real humans - a lot of controversy over whether it should be illegal or not since it's more of a "thought crime" because, even though it caters to an aberrant perversion, it involves no real victims).
A compulsion is not defined by it's origin
There's no reason to assume that a person who molests a child has a "compulsion".
Just like an adult who enjoys normal sex. A person can enjoy sex, or have sex completely on a whim - but that's not the same as them having an actual addiction to sex.
In the case of Jared though, I'm not sure this is even valid since as far as I know, it wasn't actually "pedophilia" in the technical sense because the children in question were not prepubescent.

Rolf Harris got away with it for a very long time and Jimmy Savile got away with it completely. These people have very well managed public images.

I think the flip side is that if a celebrity is accused by a single individual, people would be much less likely to believe the victim than if it was an average joe who was accused. People would immediately assume the accuser is just trying to extort them for money.

Bringing this back to movies - this whole conversation reminds me of a documentary I saw recently on HBO.
It was called "Thought Crimes: The Case of the Cannibal Cop."
Story of a NYC Police Officer who was tried & convicted over online fantasies about kidnapping and eating women he knew. The conviction was overturned, but is back in the news as prosecutors are asking to have the conviction reinstated.

Was that in the states? Unless it was worded as a threat or plot to do so then I don't see how it was grounds for a charge.

Okay scratch this, I wasn't aware that one of the victims was 6 years old.
Jared Fogle, 37, of Zionsville, Ind., commissioned the executive director of his charity to produce pornography using at least a dozen underage victims, one as young as 6, the charging documents say. Fogle jetted numerous times to New York City to have sex with at least two underage girls while soliciting one of them and other adult escorts in search of ever-younger victims.
Well I hope Jared enjoys $5 footlongs - he'll be getting plenty of them where he's going.

Well, if there's any way you can see the documentary it could answer those questions.
His main charge was conspiracy to commit kidnapping. There was a lot of evidence (but most of it in the form of chat rooms on a fantasy site). He was convicted of one proven crime - that of using a National Crime Information Center (via his being a cop) without authorization as a way to get info on his potential "victims."
Some details seemed quite damning (like his taking a trip to visit a girl he was writing about eating in his chats, she was an old college friend - and he wrote about the real trip as if it was a recon mission to plan out the crime - yet he took his wife & kid and visited other friends on the road trip weekend as well.)
Other details not so damning (which supported the idea it was all fantasy) - like his claiming to his online friends that he had a torture chamber set up in a laundry room (the laundry room was a shared one in an apartment complex), he had a cabin in the woods where he could prep his victims - it didn't exist.

Ill-timed Subway game lets kids play with Jared Fogle’s pants
https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/split6.jpg
Kids could play with Jared Fogle’s pants in an ill-timed online game that was still live on Subway’s website Wednesday — the same day it was alleged the ex-pitchman possessed kiddie porn and solicited minors for sex.
The free “Jared’s Pants Dance” game, which has since been removed from Subway’s kids site, featured a pair of Fogle’s blue jeans which are used to catch sandwiches, bottles of water and other snacks for points.

People get all defensive though and say "it's addictive".
Although I can't for the life of me see what is addictive about cardboard.
As for the management... if they're into kiddie-fiddling, then no matter what their social standing is, they should be hung up by their balls by razor wire.

LOL! I heard about that on the radio this afternoon while discussing on this thread!
This is after-the-fact and I don't expect anyone to believe me, but I always got a creepy feeling from Jared (on his commercials). Since it was just a feeling with nothing to base it on, I never mentioned it.
This has happened with me and several celebrities. Like, I won't like certain actors (I won't know why) then later I find out their political views are the complete opposite of my own or they've done something aberrant in their private life. And then it just seems weird that I didn't like them, and then they turn out to be some kind of creep.
Am I psychic? (or... now I'm going to wait for someone to say "it takes one to know one".) ;)

So I'm curious what actors gave you a bad vibe?
If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd think the entire thing was staged just to get publicity for Subway. I mean a video game that lets kids play with Jared's pants?
No one's going to hate Subway because of something an employee did. And sometimes negative publicity can be a financial boon, just like it was with Fan4stic.
Oh and I missed this. Now it makes you wonder what that "white stuff" on Jared's lip really is:

Heh-heh!
Alec Baldwin! He's a good actor, but something about him always rubbed me the wrong way - this was BEFORE I ever heard him call his daughter a little pig! And I had no idea about his politics.
Richard Gere. (This has nothing to do with the stupid gerbil rumors.) I never hated him or anything, just didn't care for him. Then, much later, at a Concert for New York, a benefit for fire and rescue workers that took place just after 9/11/2001, Gere expressed sympathy for the 9/11 terrorists who'd just murdered so many friends & family members of the people in attendance at the concert, saying we need to give the terrorists love and compassion. (I know he's a Buddhist and I love the tenets of Buddhism, but wrong place, wrong time.)
Sean Penn. I like him as an actor and thought my negative feelings toward him were a compliment to his ability to play bad guys really well. Then I found out more about him, especially his activities in more recent years.
And this one... I swear I wasn't gearing up for this... but mark me...
Hillary Clinton! This has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans or the Presidential race (for instance, I have no feelings whatsoever about Bernie Sanders), but I've had bad feelings regarding this woman for decades. It's just a feeling, but I feel there is something sinister in her.
Just to show my "powers" aren't all-seeing: I never felt anything negative about Barbara Streisand ( - yet her politics are on par with Alec Baldwin), or Woody Allen (hey, who wouldn't fall for their partner's young adopted Asian daughter?) or Mel Gibson (who made some great movies despite those world-controlling Jews!) ;)

Yeah. See, earlier I was going to say I wouldn't judge someone on their looks - and I don't. But there was something creepy about his looks! I can say that now.
But hey, I don't look like I did when I was young. I'm fat, I've got creepy little glasses - I probably look like your typical aging creep guy (and not only that, I'm "quiet, polite and always keep to myself" just like all the serial killers). My next prediction: the Bruce Jenner thing will be revealed as a ratings-grabbing hoax.
Now, they'll never say those words. They won't say "hoax, gag, publicity stunt, etc."
It will come out that he and his family (& crew) did it to "raise awareness to the plight & struggles of the Transgendered community."
But I still say, like everything else in the lives of Kardashians, it's a showbiz hoax designed to increase viewership.
I'll only believe it the day Bruce gives up his weenie.

mmm... maybe.
I was thinking, even if at some point they say he's had a sex change, how will we know? If it IS all a publicity stunt, they could say anything and we wouldn't know. So, the same could go for claims about hormones. And heck, there are contest shows about make up & cosmetic effects.
My feeling is he got some poor plastic surgery a while back and people made jokes about how it made him look effeminate... and an idea was spawned.
I hope I'm wrong. I'd hope he wouldn't deceive people for money. I grew up with Jenner on my Wheaties boxes (actually I never ate Wheaties, but you know what I mean). He was a respected figure and national Olympic hero. But, I don't know... when I saw him appear on the Kardashians my faith in his integrity took a nose dive... so I hope I'm wrong.

I would dress up in my mother's clothes as a kid, but I'd also tie a towel around my neck and "fly" around the house. (And I took an umbrella and jumped off the back porch to see if it would work as a parachute... it didn't!)
As an adult, a co-worker & I dressed as women for Halloween. I was taken aback when I walked past a mirror and saw a younger version of my mother! (It was a little scary that I made such an attractive woman!)
I was big into beer pong tournaments for a while, I won a few state championships and got put in a documentary following people up to the national tournament.
A couple of jokers in that doc dressed like women to mess with their opponents heads during the games, although they didn't put much effort into it. Just some crappy wigs and dresses, didn't shave, etc.
After years of failing to win that national tournament (like 500 teams competing and I had gotten top 10 a few times) I decided to take that concept and run with it. But I put more effort into it, trying to make it seem like I was legitimately into it and didn't want people to think I was doing it just to mess with them - because then it wouldn't mess with them as much.
Well it turns out I ended up with the opposite problem and it was so convincing people refuse to believe anything else  But it was a lot of fun and I got an unreal amount of attention. When I first walked into the vegas hotel lobby I ended up with a line of strangers for 45 minutes waiting to get their picture taken with me.
It did end up helping me in the tournament. Placed 5th which is the highest I ever got. 2 matches away from victory.
I'm working toward a short film now where I'll star in drag, but it's going to take me a couple of years to complete. Haven't started filming yet and I've gained a bunch of weight for parts of it then I'll lose all the weight for the drag scenes.
I'm also 6'3" so I was 6'9" in the heels.
