Derek - he means tracks without voices
I'd be up for it, although I'd have to do some research as I can't think of that many apart from classical music which I know almost nothing about. Have to be careful tho as some instrumentals do have a bit of human voice on them don't they?

Yeah it's best to be clear at the outset :)

Yeah, okay, sounds cool. I'm in.
What kind of music do you listen to, DeadChannel?

Three questions:
1. Would this just consist of instrumentals (in the sense of "modern" music that is written strictly with only instruments in mind) or would classical pieces be accepted?
2. How about instrumental versions of songs?
3. Would there be a certain limit on the length of time the music should be? I am asking this one because instrumentals can be quite long sometimes.

I'm definitely out for this one. :) Enjoy it, though.

Classical is perfectly acceptable, basically any piece of music without vocals - it could be classical, a theme from a movie or tv show, an incidental piece of music from a soundtrack, an original piece by a group that incorporates no vocals, an instrumental cover version or instrumental remix of a song that originally either did or didn't have vocals ...
I'd hope anyone entering would bear in mind that players should listen to each nomination in a pairing and thus not nominate pieces that are overly long but if needs be I can set a limit of any nomination not being longer than say ten minutes running time.
This sounds doable. If you get enough people interested, then I should be able to come up with what is needed. :)
I am just wondering what sort of chance any modern pieces would have against classical composers like Mozart.

That's going to be a large part of the interest hey? :)
Great idea for a tournament! I'm in. :)
