K-19 The Widowmaker

Hey there everyone :)

I have just finished wathing K-19 The Widowmaker and hell i thought it was a great movie.

Harrison ford was brilliand and i have to admit i havent seen him this good for a wee while.

she starts off a wee slow but before you know it, your stuck on the edge of your seat withthe anticipation of 'whats cuming next'

There are a few predictable moments in there but which film dosen't have that. (don't answer that)

Has anybody seen this film! if so what are your thoughts?

What is this movie about?? A robot, played by Harrison Ford, called K-19, who murders the husbands of married women??

Kong saw this in the theater when it was released, and liked it well enough. Kong didn't think it was anything great and probably won't watch it again, but it did it's job in creating drama and suspense. Kong's biggest gripe is that, like many other movies, they take what must be an amazing story and fit it into a Hollywood mold that makes it feel sort of standard.

Kong's favorite aspect is that a female was directing an almost all male cast. *** of ****

Nicely shot, but horrible casting with a predictable & contrived script make this a less than average sub thriller.

Im a huge Kathryn Bigelow fan, but, IMO this is her worst film to date. Heavy handed music and choosing sentimentality over believabilty really drag this film. I was once a huge Harison Ford fan, unfortunately this one is yet another in the long line of dissapointments for me. Liam does no better.

As a bit of a sub head I highly recommend David Twohy's BELOW, written by Darren Aronofsky as a fun little sub thriller that is nicely executed.
