Tony Randall and Jack Klugman made television history with the first sitcom back in the early 70's. The show was rebooted in the 80's with black leads (Ron Glass as Felix and Demond Wilson as Oscar) and has now returned for the new Millenium with Matthew Perry of Friends playing Oscar and Thomas Lennon, last seen as Sean Hayes' boss on Sean Saves the World as Felix. Matthew Perry is ALWAYS worth watching but Thomas Lennon hasn't found his footing as Felix yet...his performance in the pilot made me squirm, but I'm willing to give him a chance out of respect for the history of these characters and their creator and because I love Matthew Perry, but if the truth be told, the updated version of the 70's theme song was a sad reminder of how much I miss the show that starred Tony Randall and Jack Klugman.
