I jumped over a tin fence, almost slicing my thumb off. It seriously wasnt cool.

About 8 years ago I sliced my entire left palm open from stem
to stern with a modeling knife. I exerted too much pressure, and the knife slipped across my palm as I lost control of it, and wham! All you heard was this 'sllllllllit" and I looked down, and could see inside the wound as blood dripped like you wouldn't believe.

18 stitches and 3 weeks wrapped in a bandage from my hand to my elbow. And job loss because the boss was too much of a pr*ck to understand. Would have been a different story if it was HIS hand or his son's though, right?

And now for the double feature:

About 8 years before this, I actually cut the left top of my left thumb off with a butcher knife. I was trying to cut more than one carrot at once, and pressed down on the knife, and forgot my thumb was there, and wham. I looked at the piece of my thumb laying on the cutting board, and began to feel myself fainting as reality set in...

The blood actually pumped out of it like an MF! No stitches, but Betadine solution for 2 weeks until the skin started to grow back. And it took about 7 weeks for the top of my thumb to grow back.
It looked like a gelatinous mess until it solidified. Ugh.....

My days of fun with knives are over now, and except for very small paper cuts I get at work, I have never had a major accident.

I've been shot with paintballs, BBs, & been shot at with a shotgun (drunk rednecks). 2 fistfights, skinned knee on account of an ******* police officer who wanted to charge me with breaking and entering, i've put cigarettes out onto my arm on a dare, and one time when i was about 9 i smashed my finger with a rock & lost the nail. i meant to smash a cap from my capgun.

I have a permanent scar on the right side of my head, below and connecting to my eyebrow. I had to get eight stitches for it. It happened on Mother's Day in 1989, I was five. My grandpa took me to 7-Eleven to get a Slurpee, and then I wanted to play at a playground. He took me to the playground that I didn't want to go to! Because of this, I have the scar. I was running around and I tripped on some gravel. I fall, then get up, thinking that nothing was wrong, but yet I felt really woozy. I go to my grandpa's car (he's there reading the paper), I get inside, and he rushes me home. He hands me a rag, I'm not sure why - but then I look at it and it's covered in BLOOD! My blood! Lots of my young blood.

When I get home, my mom goes crazy and they rush me to the hospital. So, I know all about evil playgrounds now....

I also have a slightly visible scar on my leg (covered up by leg hair) that I got from a deep scratch, thanks to a metal lawnchair!

When I was seven, I went out on Halloween as the devil, and I wore these little horns that had to be put on my head using some kind of glue. Well, the things were sucking my forehead all night - and when I got back home later and my mom was taking off the horns, she looked at me and started freaking out. The horns had given me two huge, swollen, red HICKIES! I grew my own horns! My mom paniced and she started running around the house like a lunatic. Then, my parents took me to the hospital, where we met this old lady whose husband just had a heart attack or something. Anyway, the doctor checked me out and he said they'd go away in a few weeks - and they did, but it was forever! Imagine the shock I gave everybody the next day at school - a seven year old, pale faced, dirty blonde haired boy with two huge, red speedbumps on his head. I'd scan a picture if my scanner still worked.

*i slipped on gravel in a playground nad got a piece LODGED in the top of my head....had to go to the hospital, got my hair shaved, they pulled out the rock, and the stitched it up (although this was over 25 years, i can still remember the smell of that dang hospital)

**climbed the fence in the backyard to see what the neighbour was doing and got a 5inch piece of wood lodged under my big toenail all the way into my foot

***i wanted to help my mum do the ironing, and did it while i was sitting down on the couch watching TV....i IRONED MY LEG...the scar took 15 years to fade

****in highschool, in the science lab, we hated the teacher, and when she turned her back i stood on the stool waving my hands and making stupid faces...BUT i was underneath the ceiling fan, which was on, and chopped three of my fingers on it (just blood and scars, not fingers falling off stuff)

*****this one was only a couple of years ago woke up about midday (as you do) and wanted to make some warm milk...i was wearing my terry cloth robe when i reached over the gas burner to grab something and the bottom of my sleeve caught on fire....i didn't even realise it cause the fabric was so thick until i saw something over the back of my shoulder...it was flames...my entire back was on fire...i panicked and ran out into the backyard screaming, took off my robe and was smashing in on the grass to put out the fire - of course, i was naked underneath wasn't i, and the whole family and some neighbours had come out to see what the screams were all about

Junior High: Fell off of a bus and broke an arm.

Freshman year of high school: Stuck an awl through my thumb in shop class. Later in the year, I got a finger broken by a machine in metal shop.

First year of college: Fell down a flight of stairs and broke two teeth. I was too drunk to feel any of it until the next day.

First year in the Army: Tripped over my shoelace during a Batallion run, ripped up my right knee and both elbows. Kept running while dripping blood all the way.

Two Days ago: fell down the stairs trying not to step on my cat. 10 stitches in my left arm.
