Welcome to

Sexy Celebrity's

HALL OF LAME

(aka "Hall o' Flame!")

THE FIRST ONE!

In this tournament, you won't have to do much because that's how I like it.

All I ask is that twenty or so of you (or more if you dare to care) talk about your favorite -- or LEAST favorite -- LAME MOVIE!

Watching everyone's movies is NOT REQUIRED.

But you may, of course.

This is just a place where you can get recommendations -- or in this case, WARNINGS.

After everyone has written about one particular lame movie they've seen, we will all come back and cast a vote on which sounds like the most lame movie, whether or not you've even seen it.

OKAY?

Okay.

Now, please...

TELL US ABOUT A LAME MOVIE YOU'VE SEEN.

Hmmmmmm?

Psycho remake 1998
This is a shot for shot remake, which really highlights just how terrible it is.

Lets talk about the shower scene.
When the camera points at the shower it's getting water all over the lens, instead of like the original where they went through pains to plug the shower holes so the water would surround the camera but not touch the lens.

Now.. the most egregious error .. THE SHOWER CURTAIN ISN'T TRANSLUCENT!!
You can't even see the killer sneaking up on her. They ruined this scene!!

How awful at film making do you have to be, to not get this one simple thing right .. to create suspense you must see the killer coming.

Really they ruined the entire movie. But yeah.. wth.

Thank you, darling.

Okay, our first movie is the PSYCHO remake from 1998. Yes. I remember the Psycho remake pretty well. I went to the movies to see it when it came out and I saw it again later. Anne Heche and a naked Viggo Mortensen. Yes.

LAME MOVIES ON THE BALLOT TO BE INDUCTED IN THE "HALL OF LAME" SO FAR:

They ruin a classic but you see Anne Heche's butthole.

They ruin a classic but you see Anne Heche's butthole.

Not really her butthole -- just the crack of her a$$.

Anyway, here's the clip:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AEzxgcpWo0

This really is very, very lame. I remember not liking it when I first saw it in a theater. What stood out to me then are those stupid storm clouds that appear as she's getting murdered.

This, my friends, isn't 1960's at all. It screams '90s. I mean -- Anne Heche!

WARNING: Anne Heche's naked butt is seen in the clip.

Anne Heche is a terrible actress, what a horrible job. I like Van Sant quite a bit too. You could see the killer coming though Foster. I never watched this movie thankfully.

You can see that there is movement but you can't even tell if it's human form. Watch the original it's a WORLD of difference.

I've not seen the Psycho remake because... Well, why would I? Anyway, I find it hard to believe that Anne Heche is a bigger problem in this than Vince Vaughn as Norman. That's up there with the worst casting I can think of.

My LAME nomination....err I mean nomination for most LAME movie is:

The Big Blue (1988)
http://www.travel-to-amorgos.com/topics_images/1.jpg

The Big Blue in 10 seconds, by Citizen

Jacques, with a silly smile plastered on his face: "I'm a moron, I wish I was a dolphin instead."

Johana: "I'm a stereo typical dumb blond and my only purpose in life is to have Jacques baby, maybe it will be born with fins."

Enzo: "Why did I ever agree to be in this film? I need a drink."

The Director: as he twirls his mustache, "If you do not love my film then you do not understand French cinema, blah."

I keep meaning to watch it just to see if it's as bad as people say. I quite like Vaughn.

ORIGINAL (1975) Awesome. Good science fiction and Sonny Corleone on roller skates.
What's not to like?

LAME UPDATE (2002)
Pathetic remake attempt to modernize and slick it up. A bloated horror.
And not in a good way.

Oh, yes. The Rollerball remake is horrible. Truly horrible and I went in expecting it to be bad.

As for Vaughn, I already don't rate or like him, so it was never going to be a good fit for me, but everything about him is wrong for the role. Physically he's wrong for it.

I probably wouldn't have picked him to play Norman Bates, but, it doesn't matter. The whole movie's a wash. It's just a gay man (Van Sant) playing around with Psycho, badly, casting hot actors at the moment, throwing in the controversial lesbian to play Janet Leigh's role, adding nudity - including male nudity, etc. etc. It was a quirky, stupid thing that belongs only in its moment in the '90s. I can't believe it was even made. Yet, I'm not surprised that it was, either. It's actually a more interesting remake than the rest of the horror movie remakes, though. At least the movie pretty much stayed exactly like the original movie. No other horror remake does that and I've always thought that was wrong. When I first started hearing about horror remakes, I assumed they'd all be just like the original movies, just like the Psycho remake. That's more interesting to watch, I feel. The Psycho remake is bad, but it's an interesting watch.

Of the ones I've seen, it'd have to be Rollerball (2002). It really is a terrible film and it's made worse by the original being such a favourite of mine.

Rollerball, The Big Lebowski, and Evil Dead all have one vote.

The first movie that gets TWO votes is the winner! This includes something that hasn't already been voted for.

I vote for my own entry - Psycho.
So may things you could have done with a remake.

Make it a hot chick with a daddy fetish, norma bates. and sean connery comes to stay at the hotel.
I don't think he was retired yet when this was made.
