so I buy this here stereo MY JOCKEY (http://www.clarion.com/proaudio/srcunit04.htm) cause it plays mp3's and i put in my disc and it plays it, but the display just says no data...
and the manual says if the music isnt tagged no data will appear in the display....

so what the hell is tagging and more importantly how do I do it....

tagging is basically electronic labelling (Im sure Chris can tell me if im on the right track or not), most computer mp3 programs allow you to do this, but I would need to know what sort of programs that plays Mp3s you have to give you specific's on how to do it...

You can use musicmatch, or winamp to 'tag' your mp3's. 'tagging' is just another name for naming your music, artist etc.
