The Relic, and Mimic, underrated 90's monster movies.

i found those two films a guilty pleasure, accordingly they had two female leads, one which i'm very fond of in Penelope ann miller, the other i adore, in mira sorvino, have your say about these movies.

I loved both these movies. The Relic was better than I expected it to be. The creature was pretty cool and Penelope Ann Miller did a nice job in the lead.

Mimic was a pretty unique film, with the creatures being a fairly new type of being. Their "relationship" with the young boy in the film was cool, and all the cast did a good job, especially Mira Sorvino as the lead scientist/doctor. And given that he'd directed Cronos before, it was a nice indication of where director Guillermo del Toro was going with his films.

My favorite reason for seeing the film. :)
