Hey, my name is Jack. I'm 19 years old, currently in my second year of college. I've been a film lover for many years now; my father got me into it. I love all kinds of films, and people say I'm too harsh with films but frankly I think I'm too easy on them.

Hmmm, what else? I wrote film criticism in high school, but I haven't done a film review in a little over a year now (the last film I reviewed was The Counselor, which I actually liked quite a bit). I recently finished writing my first short film, so I'm working to get that made into an actual film. It's an action-comedy. I love writing comedy.

My favorite film is Taxi Driver and my favorite TV show is The Wire. My favorite director is Ingmar Bergman. My favorite actors are Robert De Niro, Max von Sydow, and Jack Lemmon. My favorite actresses are Audrey Hepburn, Meryl Streep, and Jessica Chastain. My filmmaking influences are Martin McDonagh, Quentin Tarantino, Richard Linklater, and Woody Allen. I also greatly looked up to Roger Ebert, both as a critic and as a person, but who didn't?
