Just finished watching the pilot for this CBS series about a college professor, played by Tea Leoni, who finds herself appointed Secretary of State when the current secretary's plane goes missing. Despite a solid identifiable cast, including Tim Daly, in what must be his 8 millionth role on a TV series, and some impressive production values, I just couldn't get into this because I just didn't buy Tea Leoni in the lead role...Leoni playing anything but a hooker with a heart of gold takes a whole lot of credibility-stretching.

I saw the previews for this and I was already tired of the quips and Leoni's "I don't play by the rules" attitude.

I watched it last night, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I'm gonna give it another week or two before I decide whether or not to stick with it, but after the first episode, I don't have high hopes for this show.
