Totally agree...one of the best action movies ever, one of my most pleasant surprises at the movies...Dennis Hopper was awesome.

I liked the last dialogues of the movie---

'' Jack: I have to warn you, I've heard relationships based on intense experiences never work.
Annie: OK. We'll have to base it on sex then.
Jack: Whatever you say, ma'am. ''

Absolutely. :yup: One of the definitive examples of the genre along with the likes of Die Hard. In its own way, in terms of what it set out to be, it's just about a perfect film.

Yeah, I remember loving Speed when I first saw it. I haven't seen it since though.

I would agree that it is the best but Die Hard: With a Vengeance happened. So no.

That being said it was not a bad film by any means but really Dennis Hopper stole the show in the film, he had the best lines, was very witty and made the film that much better. Keanu just felt wooden and that he was if anything just phoning it in.

Speed did however the amazing line from The Simpsons:

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around the city, keeping its speed over fifty, and if its speed dropped, the bus would explode! I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."
