I ass-u-me that we need a thread for the inevitable trash talk and Tongo trade craziness that is sure to follow here in the inaugural year of the Mofo Money League? Eh? Eh?
In case you haven't been to the main page since draft day, you saw it right. Aaron Rodgers is up for grabs. I'm looking for a quality WR1 but am willing to really look at any offer.
Might be looking to upgrade at QB, myself, though ideally for someone like Arian Foster, who's ranked like 8th on ESPN but somehow fell to me in the second round. Yay, etc.
I can trade him now, or we can wait until he does his awesome Arian Foster things and then I can trade him to someone for more. Either way!
I dont know if its because theres only 10 teams, or I drafted good (yeah I took 2 kickers and 2 defenses on purpose), but Ive never been happier with a team than this.
Andrew Luck
Brandon Marshall
Andre Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Matt Forte
Zac Stacy
Jordan Cameron
Adam Vinateri
Kansas City
Jeremy Maclin & Dennis Pitta on the bench
Fearsome! :yup:
It's the 10 team thing--everyone's kinda stacked. But I do think you drafted a particularly good team this year.

I would definitely be interested in Foster.
Your interest is interesting. I could sell him. With interest. The kind of interest meaning attention, not money. Though that could be interesting, too.
Where was I? Oh yeah: interest.

So we're interested. That's interesting. To say that there is interest only can mean that the leaves are changing... and who wouldn't be interested in something like that?
Im in a 8 team league Fred runs for friends and family. My team there isnt even as good as this $ league team.
RG III or Romo
Jordy Nelsom
Randall Cobb
Wes Welker
Jamaal Charles
Arian Foster
Julius Thomas
Bench - Ty Hilton, Rashad Jennings, MJD
........and I lost!
Well, most likely lost. She's beating me by 3 points, I have Larry Fitzgerald going tomorrow, but Devorah has Calvin Johnson AND Victor Cruz. So I lost.
Zac Stacy, Jordon Cameron, and Larry Fitzgerald are on the trading block.
Im looking for a solid RB. More solid than Stacy ;)
Sent an offer Jasons way, and an email. Hopefully we'll be doing some business.

F*cking Justin Tucker.
Im very down on myself for playing Justin Forsett. Stupid me! Watch Zac Stacy just kill on sunday. Just twisting, and salting the knife wound at the same time. Playing Pitta I can forgive as Jordan Cameron is so banged up. Yeah Im afraid Camerons gonna kill it too. Grr spit & damn.
Anybody else root against their bench?
Adrian Peterson is on SHOW ME THE MONEY!!
Thats Andrew Luck, Andre Johnson, Matt Forte, and Adrian Peterson on the same team! Larry Fitzgerald too if they ever decide to throw to him again.

I looked at the trade and voted against it. It's a very one-sided trade. It will probably go through, and I guess I can't really complain because it was agreed upon by the two teams.
I'd think it was lopsided if I thought Zac Stacy was half as valuable now as he was at the end of last year, but as it is I'd be hard pressed to start him.
jiraffejustin
09-14-14, 01:30 AM
Yeah, that would be fine if Peterson's fate was known, but it's not. It's not unreasonable to think he could be facing a big-time suspension. That really skews the trade in your favor, and I don't blame you for accepting it. From a competitive standpoint, I'd just prefer that trade not go through. To me, it doesn't seem fair. You might be getting Marshall, Stacy, and Ingram for free.
And he'll definitely be suspended. The question is for how long?
Well, it was proposed to me, and I had to think about it, because it's easy to imagine getting burned by it. Especially considering that depth isn't especially valuable in a 10-team league. I might get one starter out of it.
But I can't remember the last time I convinced someone that a trade was reasonable or unreasonable, even if it ended up being obviously so later. People just have their gut reactions and that's that, usually.

I just wanted to be upfront about voting against it and saying why, in case it came up later. I am still against the trade, I do think it's lopsided, but if/when it goes through I have to accept it. I certainly don't blame you for accepting it the proposition.
Okay then, thanks for expounding on it, at least.

Im of the opinion that AP will probably miss one more game and that's it. If hes done for the year my bold move backfires on me, and Yoda gets Brandon Marshall & 2 ho-hums for free.
If there were no controversy Yoda never would have accepted this 3 for 1, nor would anyone.
You want to have a roster sporting Matt Forte AND Adrian Peterson, this is what it takes, and yes theres risk.
Its all good Justin, and I appreciate you being a man about it and stating it plain
Whew! Thank you to the New England Patriots for lifting my team from it's ass dragging pace. 26 points
I'm being Aaron Rodgered.
He was really struggling the first third of the game, but he came roaring back, yeah. Flipped the odds on that matchup, but still enough players left to go that anything could happen.
Pffffffffffft!!! Matt Forte and the Chicago offense entire being completely stifled by the 49rs. If the second half looks like this first half............

I ran into a buzzsaw this week. Hopefully I can turn the ship around. 0-2 ain't pretty.
So they say theres a 75% chance Brandon Marshall aint playing. Had to bench him as he was playing the sunday night game. If I didnt I couldnt slide someone in to take his place later because their games would have already been played at 1 or 4pm. So I sat him, and he gets 25.30 points  Ive said it before and Ill say it again - I wish there was no bench in FFB.
Well at least Adrian Peterson will play Week 3. Yay!
http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/players/playerpage/517568/adrian-peterson
And Marshall played, even though it looked like he wouldn't when our deal went through.
Meanwhile, I've got an absurd array of WRs, so if anyone's at all weak there, gimme a buzz. B. Marshall, J. Jones, W. Welker, C. Patterson, M. Crabtree. All #1 or #2 guys, basically, and I'm open to moving any of them depending on price.
Turns out Ingram's going to miss a month. So virtually everything about this trade changed in the 24 hours after it was accepted. Oy.
Still up in the air if he'll get suspended or not though. The NFL filed Petersons case as "Domestic Violence" and not "Personal Conduct". First-time offenders of the domestic violence policy get a six-game ban. Still scary stuff for any of his fantasy owners.
Great. Im making offers to Captain Insano and sending PMs and emails to Sedai since the owners name is Mike, but its not Sedai. Its a different Mike. Just letting everyone else know that didnt like me.

Adam gives me Peyton Manning, CJ Spiller, and Anquan Boldin
I give him Matt Forte, Andrew Luck, and Kelvin Benjamin
...................well its better than my last trade! ;)
Im going to lose this week because I benched Jeremy Maclin for Sammy "#$@^!" Watkins!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Am. Pissed.
SO PUMPED.

Wow I must really be slipping. Not just because I'm 0-3 in this league, but moreso because of the offer I sent Adam.
So I sent off a trade offer, and tell Adam in email Im offering CJ Spiller & Andre Johnson for AJ Green.
I get up this morning and see the offer's still there. For some reason I checked the offer, and saw I was offering CJ Spiller & AHMAD BRADSHAW  Whoa!! I cancelled and resent the correct offer. Adam said no.

Who are the people in the league. I know Tongo, PW, Yoda, and Jiraffe. Who are the rest?
The Paper Curtain = 7thson.
ChunkyDickn Porchleg = Halfangel.
The other three are offline: Adam's Super Pigeons is my friend Adam, who's played in the MoFo league a couple of times before, and Jason is his friend Jason (who I've met a couple of times). Joshua is TONGO's friend.
Decided to play James Jones vs Mia & Chris Ivory vs Det OVER Andre Johnson vs Buf & Sammy Watkins @ Hou. I hope I am right as the possibility of great embarrasement could arise from this.

My distrust of Martellus Bennett stems from his days as a Cowboy, and as a Cowboys fan it's frustrating to see how much better he is now. So I trade him away for Maurice Jones-Drew. We can see who is winning that trade so far.
Damn Sex Monkeys. With them having Antonio Gates, Donald Brown, and the Chargers D at home vs Jax, I really need the Jaguars to pull out a huge upset, but without throwing to Cecil Shorts as the Monkeys have him too
0-4?! No no NO!!! :bawling:

I had looked at the scoring settings and was in disbelief that I actually stood a chance at beating you. If Alex Smith just took one less sack! Fingers crossed that somebody on your team will have a reception of theirs ruled a backwards pass and it docks you a half-point tomorrow during stat corrections. :p

It was a weird stat correction too, because last night I was following on the StatTracker thingamajig and it had Jeremy Maclin's corrected stats while our matchup page and ESPN had the inaccurate stats. That's what prompted me to make a comment about stat corrections, but I was surprised that it worked out my favor like that. I just need to climb my way into at least 6th place. It's not looking good though. *fingers crossed*
Im becoming completely disillusioned with Yahoo. I don't believe their system is sound.

Well now it's saying I lost again. :( wtf, Yahoo.
EDIT: It has Yoda losing his match-up with Adam 92.14-91.18, but it shows Yoda's record to be 4-0 and Adam's to be 3-1.
Yeah I noticed when I got a medal this morning for winning my first regular season game
Looks like it's just being glitchy--it has Edelman getting 0 points. I assume they'll fix it and I'll be back to taking the really narrow loss soon enough.

Good enough, but after I saw I won this week I went and checked to see if you ended up winning the baseball league. Sadly it still says Adams the winner.
Heh. I'm not gonna lie, I wondered the same thing. Stat corrections can take a few days, and given that a single hit could swing the outcome, yeah, worth keeping an eye on, just in case.

Agreed. :) Im glad the "Black Unicorn" was immature on your guys watch and not ours. He did get suspended indefinitely during training camp this year though. He is one weird dude with a lot of quirks.

Doing Arian Foster things.
Yeah, bittersweet. I'm playing you in both leagues, and you have Foster in one, and me in the other. Looks like we'll split 'em.
Might have had a chance of overcoming it if I hadn't lost two starters to injury mid-game. D'oh.
Cant ask for much better with my team, well except to win more.
Super ugly quick for both Dionne and I, looks like. Had a lot of coin flip decisions and so far I'm 0 for 2. And it's a really close matchup, so they could easily be the difference.
Hey PW, think your Seattle Superseahawks can shut down Tony Romo for me? I would be much obliged.
Graham Gano with 14 points. Oof. Gonna need some pretty huge games out of Jones and/or Marshall to pull this one out, from the looks of things.

Somebody throw me a life preserver.
You've been horrendously unlucky. You've got a comparable point total to a lot of mid-range teams, but your points against is wayyyyy higher than anyone else's. Bummer.
Hey PW, think your Seattle Superseahawks can shut down Tony Romo for me? I would be much obliged.
THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. I AM NOT OBLIGED.
I wonder if I won every game from here on out, if 7-6 could even get me in the playoffs. Never shoulda traded Luck & Forte for Peyton. Never never never shoulda done that! I blame it on all the Papa John pizza commercials subliminally influencing me. :yup:
I think, in the free MoFo league, 8-5 has always been enough and 7-6 has been enough sometimes, so it's definitely possible. Not much margin, though.
jiraffejustin
10-14-14, 12:13 AM
Five goal-to-go plays and no designed QB runs for Kaepernick?!?!? THANKS OBAMA.
Ugh. Had one of those weird criss-crossing matchups where I've got Rodgers and he's got Nelson, and I've got Julio Jones and he's got Ryan and Roddy White. So we're setup to mitigate a lot of the others' points. What happens? Duh: Jones has a so-so game, White has by far his best of the year, and Nelson catches a TD.
It still looked quite competitive until just now, when he got both sides of the Ryan-White TD to wipe out the lead I'd built in one play. Oof.
I'm gonna whine a little about kickers, too. They're pretty random, so it always feels faintly ridiculous to have the opposing kicker score a lot more than yours does. I've been outkickered by either a significant or huge margin every week since week 1 (where I didn't need it to win). Check out these margins for the other guy's kicker since week 2:
+5
+9
+11
+7
+12
And +7 so far today. That's just nuts. It was the margin of victory in two of my three losses so far.
Whoop! I think I spoke too soon. Peyton Manning might just save me arse.
No idea I had Hillman benched - this easy drag n drop thing messed me up. Good thing it probably will not matter though.
My team 99.02
PWs team 101.12
So I really am 0-7! Augh! A double stab of the same bad news!:bawling::sick: 0-7, Wow. I wondered what was running thru Peteys mind a couple seasons ago at MoFo when hed always lose by less than 2 points, everytime. Im starting to know what he felt. It's not good.
Arian Foster with another monster game.
Wonder if I should point this out to the two people who actually tried to veto the Rodgers/Foster trade.

Yeah I had got Arian in 2nd round at MoFo, but people need to understand he is a 1st rounder...when healthy.
I WISH everyone would have vetoed me trading away Luck & Forte for Peyton. That is what they call a "Seasonkiller". Well they should.
It was a reasonable trade at the time. The big bet was that Luck would make a huge leap forward and become one of the best 3-4 QBs in the league. Far from a sure thing, but he did. Very shrewd move by Adam.
Finally!!
I got my first win. :)
Cangrats, even if it was against me and it took the highest score to beat me ;) That and a piss poor Romo game - he couldn't even get 17 sheshh.
Nor sure what else I can do to get more wins, getting nice scores overall from my players. Oh well.
Mark Ingram's point totals in games where he wasn't hurt:
18.6
17.9
24.0
23.5
Not bad. And good timing; my three best players are all on Bye, amazingly (Rodgers, Marshall, J. Jones), so surviving this week would be a big deal.

Mark Ingram is trying to prove the "Contract Year Theory"
Really looking like I just caught a bad week to play mikey's team. Handful of boom-or-bust type guys are booming. Still early though.
Welp, Romo comes back and Bryant might have one of the best games of his career, so I'll need a huge total from someone to have a chance this week, I think.
mikeython1
11-09-14, 07:38 PM
You need a big game out of Rodger's. It is a double edge sword for me because I have him in another league and I to need a big game from him as well. :indifferent:
I think even his biggest game of the year would be a bit short. He needs like 40, and I need a big total out of Marshall on top of that, I think, unless Cobb and Newton do very little.
Heh. Arizona hears my cries and scores two defensive TDs in quick succession. Still an underdog, but that makes a comeback a heckuva lot more plausible.
I think even his biggest game of the year would be a bit short. He needs like 40, and I need a big total out of Marshall on top of that, I think
So, it turns out this was conservative. Dude probably bailed me out this week, big time. Really crucial win, if it holds. Newton'll need to be almost as good to flip the result.
If the result holds the year will look like this:
- Start 3-0.
- Drop four straight, 3-4.
- Win three straight, 6-4.
What a roller coaster.

I need a shirt that says "I Survived Beast Mode"
Half the league is 5-5. Heh.
Half the league is 5-5. Heh.
Best I could achieve is 6-7, so Im out regardless :(. Ive finally put it together and won 3 in a row, but its just too late.
I should be 6-4, I totally screwed the pooch and made move I did not need too. Oh well should be interesting from here on out.
Well, Adam lucked out huge with those garbage time TDs, too. He's 9-1 but his point total is roughly average and he's won 3 incredibly close matchups.
Well, we're going into the last week; Adam and I clinched the byes already, but there's a huge pileup with the next four teams all 6-6. The only teams with a chance to knock one of them out are mikey and Josh, and amusingly they're playing each other. The winner needs either PW or jiraffe to lose to have a chance to win a points tiebreaker against them.
Anyway, at this point I feel like the playoffs are gonna be a bit of a crapshoot. Point differences and talent levels look pretty marginal. Could be a wild few weeks. Good luck everyone!
Welp, I was running away with my matchup against Adam until the Rams decided to score 32 points, roughly half of them in the 4th quarter. Pretty sure that's the highest score for any defense in any game so far this year. Matchup could go either way now.
Doesn't matter too much, as we're both locked into the byes, but before then I had a chance of stealing the #1 seed. That's pretty much gone now, since I'd have to outscore him by too much in addition to winning. But it looked very plausible around halftime.
jiraffejustin
11-30-14, 08:28 PM
I need Peyton Manning and his kicker not to score 30.40 points and I'm in the playoffs. I am starting to think I won't be in the playoffs.
Wow, it was close! It looks like they just got it, and thanks more to Barth than Manning. But it's close enough that you'll want to wait a bit just in case there's a scoring correction.
Meanwhile, I'm gonna fall about 13 points shying of swiping the #1 seed from Adam. The Rams' defense and their ridiculous game ended up saving it for him. Pretty nuts that it almost happened, though, given that I was 3 games back with 3 left to go.
Playoffs!
I fell 13 points of swiping the #1 seed from Adam, but that's okay. But if he edges me out the way he did in baseball a few months ago I'm probably going to lose my mind. Fair warning.
Anyway, Adam and I are off this week, but there are two matchups that determine who's facing who next week. We have playoff reseeding, which means I won't be playing Dionne's Paper Curtain no matter what in Week 15, and Adam won't be playing PW's Kick it to Percy. But either of us could face Jason or Josh's team.
The Paper Curtain vs. Iron City Chuggars
Dionne's team seems like a fairly clear favorite, though like every year this is because he's loaded up on players from one team, and that team is the Broncos. The Broncos are kind of like the Patriots were 5 years ago, in that they've got enough good fantasy players to allow you to be a huge homer and not hurt yourself too bad. ;D It means a really low total when they struggle, and very few huge numbers, but a lot of fairly good ones week in and week out. So Josh probably won't need a breakout performance, but he will need a good one. One ray of hope is that Denver plays Buffalo, a pretty good defense this year.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and call an upset here, given the matchups. I think Josh gets a lot from Brown, McCoy and Gronk and maybe pulls this one out.
Kick it to Percy vs. Scissoring Buttholes
PW's stacked at RB, Jason at WR. Actually, Jason's stacked at RB too, he's just weak at QB and so-so at TE, and it shows up in the score: he's the second-highest scoring team in the league (three of us are piled up from 2nd to 4th in close proximity). PW's saving grace might be that his matchups this week look pretty good, but that's a lot of firepower. His best hope is to run up margin at QB over Matt Ryan, but I think Ryan puts up a decent total and Jason probably takes this.
If I'm right, it'll be me vs. Jason and Josh vs. Adam next week. But we'll see; both matchups could easily go either way.
Good luck everyone! And great regular season--every team finished within a game of a playoff spot.
Playoffs!

This year, for the most part, my Denver players were not the reason for most of my losses. My QB position has been a big part of that. Anyway I had a lot of fun thus far and hope to go forward, but as they say, anything can happen.
Oh man, Brandon Marshall taken to the hospital. Should be fine but might be done for the year. Awful.
Disappointing year, and incredibly disappointing timing, too, right as the fantasy playoffs start.
*glances at bench*

http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/wp-content/slideshow/2014/02/top-25-wrs/medium/Kenny-Stills-25-Derick-Hingle1.jpg
Welp, good thing I had that Bye; my team was horrendous on Sunday, before Rodgers and Jones dropped 70 combined points and salvaged the whole thing. Still not a great score, but a solid one thanks to them. This is why the bye is valuable, I guess.
That said, I already lost Brandon Marshall, and now Jones, in the midst of his massive game, injured his hip. So there's a chance I could lose my top two wideouts heading into the playoffs. Oof.
And now it looks like Julio's either going to be out or a decoy. So I've probably lost both my starting WRs (both top 15 guys) leading up to the playoffs. AWESOME.
I was already a moderate underdog before that, but yeah, gonna take a pretty big upset to pull this one out now.
Ha. Andre Johnson out, too. Top three receivers gone for the playoffs.
Baltimore with a defensive TD on the first drive, too. So...not exactly favored at this point.
For a little bit it looked like I was keeping pace--Jason's team is significantly underperforming, but so is mine. I started Jennings, and now he's reinjured his ankle and might not return, which would basically be a big fat zero in the Flex. I also swapped Jordan Reed in because Colt McCoy targets him a lot...so naturally McCoy leaves the game in the first quarter. Oy.
Rodgers struggling, too. 0 TDs for my entire lineup in the first half of these games. Jason's team might be giving me a real opening here, but it might not matter.
In the other matchup Adam's looking pretty good in the earlygoing; only one player not on pace to meet or exceed their projection, and on Josh's side of things Gronk hasn't had a single catch in the first half. Still plenty of time, but Adam's in the driver's seat at the moment.
Josh's team comes ROARING back with almost 20 roughly unanswered points. Neck and neck with Adam now.
Kelce with a TD on the bench. Ugh. Planned to start him all week, changed my mind this morning. Really hope that isn't the difference.
Matty Ryan to Roddy White; he gets both ends of it. Huge. I needed to avoid exactly that kind of thing to have a chance. What's more, Rodgers throws a pick and has just 4 points--so far, by far his worst game of the year.
It'll take a lot of late-game weirdness and/or a huge night for the Saints offense tomorrow. But in all likelihood that's gonna do it. Wish I could play this week again without losing my top three receivers, Reed's favorite QB, and Jennings after one carry, but them's the breaks.
Josh and Jason win. Congrats to both. Adam and I play for 3rd this week.
Bump! Think we'll just use this one again this year.

Im so excited!
Whooo, etc.
Adam's traveling, as it turns out. Trying to figure out if he can still draft on his phone.
If he can't, I've volunteered to draft for him, at least to make sure he doesn't get injured guys or a weirdly unbalanced team. I've played with most of you guys before and I've known Adam since I was 10, so I think you know I'll do my best for him if he asks me to (better than autopick, at least). Hopefully he'll just be able to draft from the road, though. Just a heads-up.

Sounds suspicious? ;)

He should be able to draft on his phone if he can find a decent signal. Yahoo has a pretty good app. I prefer their regular site but the app works alright.

It'll only be suspicious when "he" trades me his first round pick for a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. The small kind you get on planes and stuff.

Yeah, hopefully. I think he might be driving, which could lead to some sketchy signal reception. But we'll see. Obviously that would be highly preferable.
I've also offered to let it autopick and only step in if it's about to take some injured player for him. I'll keep you guys posted.
Adam says he's got his laptop and he'll be able to draft from Missouri. Whew!
30 minutes until the draft! http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/286172
Draft order should be released momentarily...
Well I am starting off in the hole but looking forward to all the games.
It's early, but through two weeks, the top four teams are the top four finishers last year.
What an apt concept for my team name The Last Place Team. Im just glad im 1-1. Me and Joshuas Chuggars are projected at my 110.31 to his 110.30 a seperation of .01!!! Ive never seen that.
Wow CJ Anderson.
I was gonna make a play for Ronnie Hillman but decided to take Yodas Ingram offer instead, bye CJ! He'll make huge earnings for the Rogues now, just watch. Aside from disgust towards CJ, I heard New Orleans were gonna use their run game more, and Brees arm is dinged up.
Yeah, Anderson's a bit of a lottery ticket right now. But I had four guys I thought could be startable going forward, so I figured it made sense to trade someone reliable for someone with upside.
I'm hoping/expecting that Anderson will reestablish himself, even though the rumors are he might lose his job outright. But it's worth the risk.
I'll definitely miss Ingram, though; I nabbed him super cheap last year (and cheaper than he should've been this year). He's been really good for awhile now.
Week 5
QB P Rivers
WR T Benjamin
WR A Boldin
RB M Ingram
RB G Bernard
TE J Graham
WRT L Green (Chargers TE)
K S Gostkowski
D Patriots
Ugh! Am not confident.
I have four top 20 RBs and the fifth, C.J. Anderson, just had his best game of the year. So if anyone needs a starter, gimme a ring and we'll figure something out.
I didnt play Jimmy Graham. Its one of those decisions I dont remember making ad couldnt guess my reasoning. It wouldnt have made a difference as Yoda would've pummeled me regardless. There ends my 3 game win streak i.e. the Last Place Team Camelot era.
Ugh; trade two startable RBs, and Dion Lewis is out for the season the very next game. I'll go from having wayyyyy too many good RBs to just about enough for a week or two.

Playoffs are here. Good luck to everyone besides Powdered Water ;-)
Hehe.
Mikey's definitely the favorite. It looks like we'll be close in projections if (big if!) we both make it to the finals. Could be a great matchup. But hey, it's just two weeks; anyone can win.
Good luck to everyone whose name rhymes with "Smishtropher."

Ha!
We've nearly got our finals matchup: Mikey had another strong week and it looks like he'll make it with room to spare. I'm pretty likely to hang on against jiraffe, though the fact that I don't have this wrapped up already with 160 points is amazing. With Calvin Johnson and Benjamin Watson going tonight, he could still stage a comeback. Either way, one of us is going to put up a very high total and lose anyway.
Reminder: the two losing teams this week still play for third place next week, with the winner of that game getting their entry fee back.
It's me and mikey, and we've already begun: Murray had a big game for him yesterday, but Cooper has a very bad one, so the net result is a slight dip in his projection. Which just means he went from being a slight favorite to being a slight underdog.
Really could go either way.
Huge game from Cousins, who I swapped in for Carr. Definitely in a good position now, but mikey's got a lot of playmakers, so anything can happen.
Decided this morning to go with HOUSTON on defense instead of DENVER. Denver's been better much of the year, but a lot of that came earlier. They're against a Cincy offense that hasn't allowed a lot of fantasy points to opposing defenses...however, they're missing their starting QB. The Texans have been better lately, and they're against the Titans, who have allowed quite a few points...and are missing their starting QB. So, genuinely tough choice. Both are great plays this week, but I'm going with the Texans up against the offense that's been weaker all year. Pretty tough choice, though.
HERE WE GOOOOOOOO.

Wow! On just the fifth play from scrimmage, the Titans fumble and Houston returns it for a defensive TD, making me look smarter than I am. Great start.
Julio Jones with a huge 70-yard TD, and now the projections are really pulling away (50+). Anything's possible, especially with some really high-upside guys left to play on mikey's side, but a lot of things have to go right for him (and, probably, wrong for me) the rest of the way to even keep this close.
Well, nothing's official until tomorrow, but things look pretty safe. mikey needs 80 points, which would be a tall order even if he still had full games from A.J. Green, Adrian Peterson, and the Giants D; instead, the latter two are already a third of the way through their games, and I get Demaryius Thomas tomorrow, to boot. If Thomas scores ~17 points I'll finish with the highest total of any team in the league all year, even.

Congrats Chris! :) Do I get anything for second place? I forget?
Congrats Chris! :)
Thanks. :) All in all you likely had the best team, riding a really strong draft all year without much tinkering necessary.
Do I get anything for second place? I forget?
Yup, you get three times your entry fee. I'll be in touch as soon as it's all confirmed on Tuesday morning.
Good job Chris! 👍 Strong as always.
