The first time I saw that thread I clicked on it saw I was on like page 1 billion and knew it was a joke. I should add I am also the most gullible person in the world. I don't get how people fall for it or at least don't notice something is off right away.

I'll never make fun of someone for not getting it, because lots of perfectly intelligent people don't. But in my experience those people are usually more than capable of figuring it out, but simply decided to ask before taking a minute to look at it, or think about it.

That's not a huge deal, either, but yeah, no use posting the question in the first place if you're going to ignore the responses and just ask again later.

That thread is a trick. There's a special code put into the thread. It makes everyone who's a member see their username. For example, that thread says "I Love You, SaidLuisa" to you. To me, it says "I Love You, Sexy Celebrity." To Miss Vicky, it says "I Love You, Miss Vicky." To The Rodent, it says, "I Love You, The Rodent." If you're not signed in, it says, "I Love You, Unregistered."

The thread was started in 2002. Twelve years ago. And I'm still a member here.

The "I Love You" thread actually first began as the Happy Birthday thread (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?p=35861#post35861) which was created the day after I joined this place. Feb 19, 2002.

And if you note, starting on page two (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?p=35919#post35919) of that thread, I did not understand what was going on at all. But then, it was a new thread with not a lot of posts and I was a new member. I thought they were playing a trick on me, the new member. I literally recall being in school the next day and asking Steve (a former MoFo I went to school with -- I went to high school with him and another member, -OG, that's how I learned of this place) -- anyway, I remember asking him in person, "What the Hell is that thread all about?!?!" And all he said was, "I dunno." No help.

So it took me FOREVER trying to figure out what was going on, as is evident by that "Happy Birthday" thread.

The "I Love You" thread was my revenge against the confusion I had had with the "Happy Birthday" thread. A very successful revenge.

And, as you might know, I tried to make a sequel to the "I Love You" thread for the new decade called " is Gay" but the only revenge had this time was by Tacitus.
